Patrick 1883 69 This is the last will and testament of me Esther Halsall of Glenaspet In the parish of Patrick, widow. I leave devise and bequeath unto my son Joseph Halsall the one half of my portion of the stock and crop on the farm of Ballaspect Glenaspet where he now resides also an equal interest with my eldest son William in the lease of the Glebe adjoining th said estate also an equal interest of or one half in the lease of lands now leased by me in Ballacosnahan. I leave devise and bequeath to my son Henry Halsall the sum of ten pounds sterling. After the decease of my daughter Margaret I leave devise and bequeath that house now occupied by Tom Corkan in Queen Street to my two daughters Anne and Emily to be equally divided among them. The utensils, household furniture (including dairy utensils) of the kitchen and back kitchen I leave and bequeath to my son William. But, the whole of the parlour furniture and all the bedroom furniture (save and except what is herein afterwards mentioned) I leave and bequeath to my daughters Ann and Emily to be divided between them equally as they may mutually agree. To each of my three children William, Joseph and Margaret I will and bequeath one bed and bedding respectively for each. And I hereby appoint the said daughter Ann Halsall residuary legatee and sole executrix of this my will hereby revoking all former wills and testaments by me at any time heretofore made and executed in witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this first day of February one thousand eight hundred and eighty three. Esther Halsall her X mark Signed and published by the testatrix as an for her last will and testament in presence of us, present at the same time, who at her request in her presence and in presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses: John Thomas Hy Cottier William Fargher Codicil I - I moreover devise will and bequeath to my son William, before mentioned, that he take full charge of my daughter Margaret and that he properly clothe and feed her and that he receive the rent of the three houses formerly willed to Margaret (now about 15 pounds per year so long as he continued to do so). In witness whereof I have subscribed my name this the 1st day of February 1883.
