This is the last will and testament of me Edward Cubbin of the town of
Peel Master Mariner and Grocer of Douglas Street.
I leave to my son Edward Cowley Cubbin the sum of twenty pounds.
I leave to my stepson Robert Quayle the sum of one pound.
I leave to my stepdaughter Jane Christian Quayle the sum of one pound.
I leave to my stepdaughter Eleanor Quayle the sum of one pound.
I leave to my beloved wife Jane Cubbin all and singular a certain
dwelling house backhouse yard and premises situate in Douglas Street in the
town of Peel and to her heirs and assigns.
Also I leave all the residue of my property real and personal to my said
beloved wife Jane Cubbin and to her heirs, executors, administrators,
and assigns and I appoint her to be my sole executrix hereof.
In witness where I have hereunto subscribed my name this the fourth day of
April One thousand eight hundred and seventy four. 1874.

Signed published and declared by the said testator Edward Cubbin as and for
his last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time
who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have
hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses:

At a District Probate Session held at Peel on the 14th day of November 1884.
Jane Cubbin widow and relict sworn executrix.
At a Court holden at Douglas on the 30th day of January 1905.
The annexed paper writing dated 4th day of April 1874 having been
proved on the 14th day of November 1884 as the last will and testament of
Edward Cubbin late of Douglas Street in the town of Peel Master
Mariner and Grocer deceased who died on the 6th day of July 1884 and probate
thereof granted to Jane Cubbon the widow and relict of the testator the
executrix therein named and the said Jane Cubbin having subsequently
intermarried with William Corris also now deceased and having since died
without having fully administered the estate of the
said Edward Cubbin deceased. This court hath therefore granted
administration de bonis non (with his said will annexed) of the personal
estate and effects of the said Edward Cubbin deceased to William
Callister of the village in the parish of Onchan Schoolmaster and
accordingly he is sworn well and truly to administer the personal estate and
effects of the said Edward Cubbin deceased so left un-administered
as aforesaid in terms of his said will and according to law.
