Patrick 1885 #57:
The humble petition of William Pinder of Saint Michaels on Wyre and James
Woods Bell of 1 Sunnyside Woodside Lane Oxton Birkenhead. Sheweth That
Isabella Jane Bawden late of Brookfield in the parish of Patrick died on or
about the 12th day of May 1885 having first duly made and published her last
will and testament bearing date the 30th dayof April 1885 whereof she
appointed your petitioners executors
That your petitioners are desirous that probate of the said will should be
granted to them.
Wherefore petitioners pray a hearing hereof and that your Honor may be
pleased to grant probate of the said will to them and they will pray. Thos
Kneen.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a court to be held at
Douglas on Monday the 8th day of June 1885, at 12 o'clock at Noon. Whereof
all proper parties and persons are to have due and lawful notice. Given at
Douglas this l8th day of June 1855

This is the last will and testament of Isabella Jane Bawden of Brookfield in
the parish of Patrick. I revoke all testamentary writings by me heretofore
executed.
I appoint my brother in law William Pinder and James Wood Bell executors
hereof. I bequeath to my brother John Bawden the sum of One hundred pounds
I bequeath to the children of my late brother Edward Bawden the sum of fifty
pounds to be equally divided between them. I bequeath to my nephew Stanley
Bawden son of my brother Thomas Bawden my silver and coffee service subject
to the life interest of my mother Louisa Ann Bawden
I give devise and bequeath to my sister1s Louisa Ann Pinder and Elizabeth
Bell all my real and personal estate over which I have a disposing power or
which I can devise to hold to my said sisters equally for their respective
sole and separate use free from the control of their husbands and so that
they may dispose of the same as if they were unmarried but subject to the
payment out of such residue of my debts and funeral and testamentary
expenses and the said legacies hereinbefore named
In witness whereof the said Isabella Jane Bawden has hereunto subscribed her
name this 30th day of April 1885. Isabella Jane Bawden
Signed published and declared by the said Isabella Jane Bawden as and for
her last will and testament in our presence who in her presence at her
request and in presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as
witnesses. Thos Kneen John Kermode.
Both brothers in law of the testatrix named as executors therein named are
sworn well and truly to fulfil and execute the same and to administer the
personal estate of the said deceased according to law. Children of Edward

Arthur James Bell Bawden and Isabella Kathleen Bawden four of the children
of Edward Bawden decease being minors their mother and their brother Edward
Albert Bawden both of Lily Bank Foxdale in the parish of Patrick were on the
24th day of March 1886 appointed guardian over the said minors by the
Chancery Division of His Majestry's High Court of Justice 15th December
1886.
John Bawden 100 lbs received 30 Apr 1885
