This is the last will and testament of me John Cannan of Cooilshallagh in
the parish of Michael. I being of sound mind memory and understanding
at the making hereof.
I leave and bequeath to my son John James Cannan the whole of my Real and
Personal estate of every description subject to the right of my wife Eleanor
Cannan enjoying and receiving the whole of the rents of my Real Estate
wheresoever situated as long as she lives and subject after her death to the
following payments as legacies.
To my daughter Jane wife of Robert Quayle of Ergemont the sum of sixty
pounds sterling
To my daughter Ann wife of William Killip of Clyeen the sum of sixty
pounds sterling
To my three granddaughters Helena, Catherine, and Laura children of James
Christian and my daughter Ellen (deceased) the sum of twenty pounds each and
if one or more of such of my grandchildren die before coming of age her
legacy is to be paid to the survivors or survivor. I appoint my said son
John James Cannan sole executor of this my will.
As witness my name hereto subscribed this thirtieth day of October

who in his presence and that of each other have hereto subscribed our names
as witnesses thereto.

At a District Probate Session held at Peel on the 18th day of May 1885. The
annexed paper writing dated the 30th day of October 1884 having been proved
to be the last will and testament of John Cannan late of Cooilshallagh in
the parish of Michael deceased who died on the 12th day
of January 1885. John James Cannon of Cooilshallagh aforesaid a son of the
testator the executor therein named is sworn well and truly to fulfill and
executed the same and to administer the personal estate of the said deceased
according to Law. W. Gill
