In the name of God Amen.
We Robert Gick of Strang in the parish of Braddan and Elizabeth my wife
being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make appoint
order and ordain the following as our last joint will and
testament.
First we commit our souls to God and our bodies to a decent Christian
burial.
Secondly we leave bequeath and demise unto our son Thomas and
daughter Margarett Ann our new house now in course of erection on the estate
of Camlork to be inherited by them equally and the garden and premises
attached thereto after the death of the last survivor of us. Thirdly we
leave and bequeath unto our daughter Elizabeth the sum of
five shillings.
Fourthly we leave and bequeath unto our son Robert the sum of five
shillings.
Fifthly we leave and bequeath unto our son William Henry the sum of five
shillings
Sixthly and lastly we nominate appoint and ordain the last survivor of us
whole and sole executor or executrix of this our joint last will and
testament and residuary legatee of all the rest of our goods chattels and
effects moveable of what kind, name or nature soever, with a life
interest in the aforesaid house garden and premises as witness our
subscription this seventeenth day of June One thousand eight hundred and
forty eight.

This is the last will and testament of me Elizabeth Gick of the Strang in
the parish of Braddan widow, I hereby revoke all former wills, codicils,
and testamentary papers by me at anytime heretofore made.
I bequeath to each of my children who are living at the time of my
decease the sum of twenty pounds and if any child or children of mine
shall predecease me leaving a child or children who shall be living at the
time of my decease then I leave to any such grandchild or grandchildren the
sum of twenty pounds which his her or their parent would have taken
if living if more than one to be equally divided amongst them as tenants
in common.  I leave and bequeath to my daughter Emma Gick now residing at
Eighty Three Rasenose Road Bottle in the County of Lancaster spinster the
following articles of furniture and effects that is to say, one dining room
table with leaves, six mahogany chairs upholstered in hair cloth,
one mahogany couch covered with American leather, silver tea service
comprising teapot basin jug six knives and six forks also six pictures
the whole of which are now in the back parlour situate in the north end
of the house in which I now reside.
I leave devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of all my
property of every description to my son Christopher Gick and I nominate
constitute and appoint the said Christopher Gick whole and sole executor of
this my will.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this  twenty
eighth day of February One thousand eight hundred and eighty eight
(1888).
