In the name of God Amen.
I Catherine Cowley of Ballakilley Clue in the parish of Kirk Michael being
of sound mind memory and understanding but knowing the uncertainty of life
do make this my last will and testament in form and manner
following:
In the first and principal place I commit my soul to God and my body to
Christian burial.
Secondly I leave and bequeath to my son John Cowley the sum of five
shillings.
Thirdly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Catherine Quiggin the sum of
five shillings.
Fourthly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Jane Christian
the sum of five shillings.
Fifthly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Ann Cowley the sum of
five shillings.
Sixthly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Elenor Hannah the sum of
five shillings.
Seventhly I leave and bequeath to my niece Elenor Christian Faragher the sum
of four pounds.
Eighthly I leave and bequeath to my son William Cowley all my goods and
effects and also leave the said William Cowley whole and sole executor
of this my last will and testament. As witness my subscription this the
twentieth day of September one thousand eight hundred and seventy six.
