The humble petition of Elizabeth Graves of the town of Peel and of the
said Elizabeth Graves by Joseph Clucas her next friend.
Sheweth:  That your petitioner's husband Robert Graves departed from this
island may years ago and petitioner is unaware whether he is now
living or dead.
That your petitioner's son Edward Francis Graves late of Michael Street
in the town of Peel died in South Africa on the 16th day of February
1887 having first duly made and published his last will and testament
dated the 13th day of November 1886 whereof he appointed petitioner sole
executrix.
That petitioner is desirous of renouncing probate of the said will and
that administration with the will annexed of the estate of the said
Edward Francis Graves be granted to Mr Joseph Clucas Jeweller, Peel.
Wherefore petitioner prays a hearing hereof and that your honour may be
pleased to grant administration of the estate of the said Edward Francis
Graves with will annexed to the said Joseph Clucas and petitioner will

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard a court to be holden in
Peel on Monday the 16th day of May 1887 at 10 o'clock in the forenoon
whereof all proper parties and persons are to have due notice.

This is the last will and and testament of me Edward Francis Graves of
Michael Street in the town of Peel I being at the time of making hereof
of sound mind, memory and understanding but knowing the uncertainty of life
and being about to proceed abroad, I make my will as follows:
I leave devise and bequeath unto my mother Elizabeth Graves absolutely and
forever the whole of the goods monies and all property whatsoever that
belong or may belong unto me and that she have full control and dispose of
them as she may think fit.  And I hereby revoke all former
wills made by me and appoint the said Elizabeth Graves my whole and
sole executrix.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this thirteenth
day of November one thousand eight hundred and six.   Edward Francis Graves
