Santan 1887 No 69 I Francis Oates Matthews of Oatland in the parish of Santon calling to mind the uncertainty of this life do proceed to make this my last will and testament in the manner following. I commend my soul to God and my body to Christian burial. I leave and bequeath unto my beloved wife Hannah Matthews the whole of my household furniture, plate, linen, and household stuff together with my farming stock, crop, and implements and whatsoever personal property I may be possessed of at the time of my decease with the sure faith that she will pay all my just debts and funeral expenses. I further do nominate constitute and appoint my wife Hannah Matthews the executrix of this my last will -hereby revoking all former or other wills by me at any time made and declaring this alone to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hither to subscribed my name this the twenty-nineth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty one. Francis O.
