The humble petition of Robert Corkill of the town of Ramsey builder.
Sheweth:  That Ellin Shimmin late of the town of Ramsey widow your
petitioner's wife's mother departed this life on the 22nd day of January
last having first duly made and published her last will and testament
dated the 15th day of June 1866.  Whereof she appointed your
petitioner's wife Jane Corkill sole executrix.
That the next of kin of the said Ellen Shimmin are her children namely
petitioner's said wife and her brother William Shimmin of Ramsey.
That it is necessary that probate of the said will should be granted.
Wherefore petitioner prays that probate of the said will may be granted
to him in right of his wife and he will pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at Ramsey on Monday next
the 7th February Whereof all proper parties are to have due notice. Given

I Elleanor Shimmin of the town of Ramsey widow of George Shimmin late
of the said town deceased calling to mind the uncertainty of human life
do make declare and publish this my last will and testament in manner
following:
I commend my soul to God and my body to Christian burial.
I give leave and bequeath to my son William Shimmin of the town of
Ramsey aforesaid draper whatever money I have advanced to him
whether lent or leased on real estate or otherwise as legacy.
I give leave and bequeath all the rest of my property goods and effects of
what kind or nature soever and wheresoever situated to my daughter
Jane wife of Robert Corkill of the aforesaid town and I nominate
constitute and appoint my said daughter Jane whole and sole executrix of
this my will.
In witness whereof I subscribe my name hereunto this the 15th day of
June 1866            Ellen Shimmin
