The humble petition of Margaret Moore of the Village of Onchan widow Sheweth
That Petitioner's husband Arthur Moore late of Onchan aforesaid labourer
died on or about the Tenth day of May 1887 having first duly made and
published his last will and testament in writing bearing date the
Sixteenth day of September 1862 whereof he appointed your petitioner sole
executrix.
That petitioner is desirous that probate of the said will should be
granted to her.
Wherefore petitioner prays a hearing hereof and that your Honor may be
pleased to grant Probate of the said will to her and she will pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a court to be held at
Douglas on Monday the 31st day of April 1888 at 11 o'clock forenoon. Whereof
all proper parties and persons are to have due and lawful notice. Given at

I Arthur Moore of the parish of Onchan do hereby make this my last will and
testament in way and manner following.
I leave and bequeath unto my son Isaac and unto my son John Moore the sum of
five shillings each.
I leave and bequeath unto my beloved wife Margaret Moore alias Kelly all the
rest and remainder of my goods monies chattels and effects of whatsoever
kind nature or description soever and wheresoever and I hereby nominate
constitute and appoint my said wife executrix and residuary legatee of this
my last will and testament as witness my
name this the Sixteenth day of September One thousand eight hundred and

At a Court holden at Douglas on the 30th day of April 1888.
The annexed paper writing dated the 16th day of September 1872 having been
proven to be the last will and testament of Arthur Moore late of the
Vicarage in the parish of Onchan labourer deceased who died on the 10th day
of May 1887 Margaret Moore of the Vicarage in Onchan aforesaid widow the
relict of the testator the executrix therein name is sworn
well and truly to fulfill and execute the same and to administer the
personal estate of the said deceased according to law.

Know all men by these presents that we Margaret Moore of the said
Village of Onchan widow, Isaac Moore of Onchan tailor and Edward
Gelling of the Cloven Stones in the parish of Lonan farmer are jointly and
severally and any two of us jointly bound unto our Sovereign Lady the Queen
in the sum of Fifty pounds, to the payment whereof, well and truly to be
made to our said Lady the Queen, her heirs, and successors, we bind and
oblige ourselves jointly and severally and any two of us jointly, our
Executors and Administrators, firmly by these presents. As witness our
subscriptions the 30th day of April in the year of Our Lord One thousand
eight hundred and eight eight.
The condition of the obligation is such, that if the above name Margaret
Moore who seeks to obtain a Grant of Probate of the last Will and testament
of Arthur Moore late of the Village in the parish of Onchan labourer but now
deceased, who died on or about the 10th day of May 1887, do, when lawfully
called on in that behalf, make or cause to be
made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the personal estate
and effects of the said deceased which have or shall come to her hands,
possession, or knowledged, or into the hands of any other person for her and
the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, into the
proper Registry in that behalf whenever required by law so to do: and
the same personal Estate, and effects of the said deceased which shall
at any time come into the hands or possession of the said Margaret Moore or
into the hands or possession of any other person or persons for her or which
without default might have come into the hands or possession of
the said Margaret Moore do well and truly administer according to law,
that is to say, do pay the debts and liabilities of the said deceased so far
as the said personal estate will extend and the law bind the said
Margaret Moore then this obligation to be void and no effect, or else to
remain in full force and virtue.
