The humble petition of Martha Christiana Caine of Finch Road in the town
of Douglas widow.
Sheweth: That Samuel Caine late of Finch Road in the town of Douglas
aforesaid your petitioner's son died on or about the 16th day of April
1883 intestate.
It is necessary that Letters of Administration of the estate of the said
Samuel Caine should be granted to William James Kermode of the said
town of Douglas grocer or some other fit and proper person.
Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing hereof and that your honor may be
pleased to grant administration of the said estate of the said Samuel Caine
to the said William James Kermode or some other fit and proper person.
And she will pray. Thos Kneen for petitioner
Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a court to be held at
Douglas on Monday the 4th day of November 1889 at 11 o'clock in the
forenoon. Whereof all proper parties and person are to have due and lawful
notice.
Given at Douglas this 2nd day of November 1889.

Know all men by these presents that John Daniel Kellet off the town of
Douglas executor of the will of John Caine deceased doth hereby own and
acknowledge to have received from William James Kermode of Douglas aforesaid
administrator of the estate of Samuel Caine the sum of eight hundred and
ninety six being his moiety of the principal and interest of certain Deed of
Bond and Security for the respective sums of Thirteen Hundred Pounds and
Four hundred pounds bequeath by the will of Thomas Caine late of Finch Road
in the town of Douglas aforesaid deceased to the said Samuel Caine deceased.
And the said John Daniel Kellet executor as aforesaid Doth hereby release
acquit and discharge the said William
James Kermode administrator as aforesaid of the estate of the said Samuel
Caine from all or any further claim or demand in respect of the said Deed of
Bond and Security.
In witness whereof the said John Daniel Kellet hath hereunto subscribed
his name this 18th day of July One thousand eight hundred and ninety.

in the town of Douglas widow Doth hereby own and acknowledge to have
received from William James Kermode of Douglas aforesaid administrator of
the estate of Samuel Caine deceased the sum of eight hundred and ninety six
pounds being her moiety of the principal and interest of certain deed of
Bond and Security for the respective sums of Thirteen hundred pounds and
four hundred pounds bequeath by the will of Thomas Caine late of Finch Road
in the town of Douglas aforesaid
deceased to the said Samuel Caine deceased. And the said Martha Christiana
Caine doth hereby release acquit and discharge the said
William James Kermode administrator as aforesaid of the estate of the
said Samuel Caine from all or any further claim or demand in respect of the
said Deeds of Bond and Security.
In witness whereof the said Martha Christiana Caine hath hereunto subscribed
her name this 18th day of July one thousand eight hundred and ninety.

and ninety seven pounds and one penny being her moiety
of the sum of eleven hundred and ninety four pounds and two pence, the
undisposed of portion of the late Thomas Caine's estate bequeath by the will
of the said Thomas Caine late of Finch Road in the town of Douglas aforesaid
deceased to the said Samuel Caine decease. And the said
Martha Christiana Caine doth hereby release acquit and discharge the
said William James Kermode administrator as aforesaid of the estate of the
said Samuel Caine from all or any further claim or demand in respect of the
said sum of eleven hundred and ninety four pounds and two pence the
undisposed of portion of the late Thomas Caine estate.

acknowledged to have received from William James Kermode of Douglas
aforesaid of the estate of Samuel Caine deceased the sum of one hundred and
eighty three pounds four shillings and eleven pence being her moiety
of the sum of three hundred and sixty six pounds nine shillings and ten
pence being part of the undisposed portion of the late Thomas Caine estate
bequeathed by the will of the late Thomas Caine late of Finch
Road in the town of Douglas aforesaid deceased to the said Samuel Caine
deceased. And the said Martha Christiana Caine doth hereby release
acquit and discharge the said William James Kermode administrator as
aforesaid of the estate of the said Samuel Caine deceased from all or
any further claim or demand in respect of the said sum of three hundred and
sixty six pounds nine shillings and ten pence part of the undisposed
of portion of Thomas Caines estate.

Caine decease. And the said John Daniel Kellet doth hereby release acquit
and discharge the said Willaim James Kermode administrator as foresaid
of the estate of the said Samuel Caine from all or any further claim or
demand in respect of the said sum of three hundred and sixty six pounds nine
shillings and ten pence part of the undisposed of portion of the late Thomas
Caine's estate.

Primrose Avenue in the town of Douglas hereby own and acknowledge to have
received from William James Kermode of Douglas aforesaid Administrator of
the estate of Samuel Caine deceased the sum of five hundred and twenty eight
pounds thirteen shillings and two pence being her moiety of the balance of
the Tanyard Book Debts and Stock in Trade bequeathed by the will of the late
Thomas Caine late of Finch Road
in the town of Douglas aforesaid deceased to Samuel Caine deceased. And the
said Martha Christiana Caine doth hereby release acquit and
discharge the said William James Kermode administrators as aforesaid
of the estate of the said Samuel Caine from all or any further claim or
demand in respect of the said one half of the balance of the tanyard book
debts and stock in trade.
In witness whereof the said Martha Christiana Caine hath hereunto subscribed
her name this fourteenth day of September one thousand eight hundred and
ninety two.
