This is the last will and testament of me Emily Maria Gawne of
Kentraugh in the parish of Rushen widow of Edward Moore Gawne Esquire
deceased.
I being of sound mind memory and understanding at the making hereof
and hereby revoking all wills by me heretofore made.
1.  It is my wish and I direct that my funeral be conducted in as plain a
manner as possible and that there be no hatbands or scarfs but that the
usual mourning be allowed to my servants.
2.  I bequeath as follows to my servant William Rae if he be in my
service at the time of my decease the sum of ten pounds.
3.  To my farm servant John Woodworth if in my service at the time of
my deceased my best cow, the selection of such cow to be made by himself.
4.  To the vicar and churchwardens of the parish of Rushen the sum of
fifteen pounds to be distributed amongst the church list of poor on the day
of my funeral.
5.  To the Trustees of the will of my late husband all the pictures left to
me by the late Mrs Margaret Murray the picture of my said husband and the
Manx Fencible flags or courts that belonged to my grandfather Lord Henry
Murray.
6.  To my grandchild Emily Mary Mona Murray Gawne all money I may have
in bank from sale of horses, carriages, cows, also my Steam Packet shares
and should any money be left to me after this present years one thousand
eight hundred and eighty seven.
I wish and direct that the same be equally divided amongst my children.
7.  I nominate and appoint my son the Reverend Richard Murray Gawne to be
executor of this my will.
As witness my subscription this 12th day of November 1887.
