Deemster of this Isle and a Judge of the said Division.
The humble petition of Jane Cain of the town of Douglas, widow, Eliza
Jane Cain and John Hubert Cain both of Douglas.
Sheweth,
That your petitioner's husband Jonathan Cain late of the said town of
Douglas, joiner, departed this life on or about the 12th day of June 1890
having first made and published his last will and testament in writing
whereby he nominated constituted and appointed your petitioner his
whole and sole executrix.
Wherefore your petitioner humbly prays a hearing hereof and that your
Honor maybe pleased to grant probate of the said will to your petitioner

This is the last will and testament of me Jonathan Cain of Demesne Road

in the town of Douglas, joiner.
I give devise and bequeath to my wife Jane Caine the whole of my estate,
real and personal, to be held for her absolute use, for the remainder of
her lifetime subject to the said Jane Cain paying all my just debts and

funeral expenses and at her death, to be equally divided between my son

John Hubert Cain and my only surviving daughter Elisa Jane Cain dying
without issue her surviving, then the whole of my estate real and
personal to belong to the said John Hubert Cain or his heirs.
And I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my wife the said Jane
Caine sole executrix of this my last will and testament. In witness
whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this Twenty Third day of
May 1889 Jonathan Cain
Signed and duly published and declared by the testator as his last will
and testament in his presence and in presence of each other have
subscribed our names as witnesses: Willliam Callister and Ann Jane
Callister.
Jane Cain renounced executrix responsibilities and the court granted
administration to her son John Hubert Cain of Demesne Road.
In the matter of the will of Jonathan Cain late of Demesne Road in the
town of Douglas deceased which bears date the 23rd day of May 1889.
I Jane Cain widow of the said Jonathan Cain and named as executrix in
the said will authorize bearer to appear for me at any Court after this
date and renounced the executorship of such will. This 18 day of October
