The humble petition of Christian Bridson of Ballaquiggin in the parish of
Santan widow and Thomas Bridson of Ballaquiggin aforesd Farmer. Sheweth:
Thomas Bridson late of Ballaquiggin aforesaid Farmer died on
or about the sixteenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and ninety
one intestate.
It is necessary that Letters of Administration of his estate should be
granted to some fit and proper person or persons.
Whereforeyour petitioners pray a hearing hereof and that your Honor may be
pleased to grant Letters of Administration of the estate of the late Thomas
Bridson decease to your petitioner Thomas Bridson and Edward Quine of Ballig
in the parish of Braddan Farmer or to some other fit and proper person or
persons and petrs will pray.          W. Lay for Petrs.
At a court held at Douglas the 16th day of November 1891 Upon hearing this
petition in presence of the parties or their advocates and it being proved
that Thomas Bridson late of Ballaquiggin parish of Santan on or about the
16th day of October 1891 departed this life and intestate. This court hath
decreed Thomas Bridson of Ballquiggin aforesaid and Edward Quine of Ballig
in parish of Bradden farmer administrators of all and singular the personal
estate and effects of the said deceased and accordingly they are sworn well
and truly to administer the said estate
and effects of the said deceased by paying his just debts and funeral
expenses so far forth as the said estate and effects will extend and the law
bind them and distributing the residue according to law, and to
return to the proper Registry a full true and perfect inventory of all and
singular the said estate and effects, with an accurate account of their
administration hereof when thereunto lawfully required. W. Drinkwater Frank
Richardson rec'd thirty five pounds thirteen shilling his share of legacy.
Constance Bridson Richardson  received from Thomas Bridson Junior of
Ballaquiggin and Edward Quine of Ballig the sum of Thirty three pounds
fifteen shillings being the said share of legacy.
Know all men by these presents that Christian Bridson Widow Thomas Bridson,
Farmer, and Christian Bridson spinster all of Ballaquiggin the parish of
Santon Catherine Whiteside of Millimount in the parish of
Braddan widow of Thomas Arthur Bridson of Finch Road in the town of Douglas
Photographer, John Macadaw Bridson of Brunswich Road in the
said town builder, Maria Cathrine Bridson of Eleven Selbourne Street in
the city of Liverpool spinster, Esther Jane Bridson of Myrtle Street
Liverpool aforesaid spinster some of the next of kin of Thomas Bridson late
of Ballaquiggin aforesd deceased do hereby own and acknowledge to have
received from the said Thomas Bridson and Edwin Quine of Ballig in the
parish of Braddan aforesaid administrators of the personal estate of the
said Thomas Bridson deceased the sums set opposite their respective names in
the schedule at foot hereof being the full amount of their respective
distributive shares of the said personal estate of the said Thomas Bridson
deceased.
And they do hereby exonerate and discharge the said Thomas Bridson and
Edward Quine as such administrators as aforesaid and the said estate from
any further liability or accountability soever in respect of the said estate
and the administration thereof .
In witness whereof the said Christian Bridson widow
Thomas Bridson, Christian Bridson, spinster, Catherine Whiteside,
Thomas Arthur Bridson, John Macaw Bridson, Maria Christian Bridson, Esther
Jane Bridson and Catherine Alice Bridson have hereunto
subscribed their names this seventh day of March one thousand eight hundred
and ninety three.
