I, Annie Gertrude Hoskins of Orry’s Mount
Laxey in the Parish of Lonan, spinster,
being of sound mind memory and understanding
do make this my last Will and Testament
in manner following hereby revoking and
cancelling all wills heretofore made by me.
First I leave devise and bequeath
to my sisters Florence Emily, Selina Eleanor,
Margaret Bethia and Fanny Mary Hoskins
and to my brother John Percival Hoskins
the sum of five shillings each. To my
father John James Hoskins I leave devise
and bequeath the sum of two pounds.
Next I leave devise and bequeath to my
aunt Margaret Bethia Gill the sum of
ten pounds sterling, and all my wearing
apparel trinkets and letters. To my uncle
John Gill I leave devise and bequeath all my books
for disposal as he may think proper.
After payment of my just debts, financial
expenses and the erection of a suitable tombstone
on my deceased mother’s grave, I leave devise
and bequeath the whole of the remainder of
my personal Estate of whatever nature
or description I leave devise and bequeath
to my father John James Hoskins and my
uncle John Gill in trust for to give a
trade to my sister Laura Isabel Penrose
Hoskins. But in the event of my said sister
Laura Isobel Penrose Hoskins dying before
she attains twenty one years then whatever
remains of the money held in trust by my said
father and uncle shall be equally divided
between my brothers and sisters then living.
Lastly I nominate constitute and
appoint my uncle John Gill sole executor
of this my last will and Testament
and have hereunto subscribed my name this
the seventeenth day of January in the
year eighteen hundred and ninety one (1891).
