This is the last will and testament of Henry Maddrell Graves of Glenfaba
Road in the town of Peel Ship builder who being of sound and disposing
mind memory and understanding doth make publish and declare the same
in manner and form following:
I leave devise and bequeath to my wife Margaret  Catherine all my real
and personal estate herein after mentioned and the rents issues and profits
arising there from to Hold to her for and during the term of her viduity or
natural life and upon an intermarriage or decease.
I leave and devise to my son John Thomas that plot of land and those
three dwelling houses thereon erected with their appurtenances and the
moiety of the North Gable of the Dwelling house wherein the late Cæsar
Corris resided (th ---------- building which I paid) situate in upper
Patrick Street in the said town bounded on the north by the property of the
late Miss Ann Thomas on  the east by the said Street, on the south by the
property the late Cæsar Corris and on the West by the saw mill yard. Also
all and singular that dwelling house situate at the Market Place in
the said town bounded on the north by the property of Margaret King on the
East by Castle Street on the south by the Market Place and on the West by
the church yard.  Also that yard and premises on the other side of the  said
street bounded on the north by the property of Margaret King on the east and
south by the property of William Crow and on the west by Castle Street To
Hold the said dwelling houses lands and premises and every part and parcel
thereof unto the said John Thomas Graves his heirs and assigns forever upon
payment of the sum of fifty pounds to his
sister Alice Isabella or to her representative and which sum is hereby made
a lien and charge upon the aforesaid property.
I leave and devise to my daughter Alice Isabella Graves the dwelling
house and premises wherein I reside situate in Glenfaba Road bounded on the
North by the property of William Killey on the east by the said road
on the south by the property of John Gill and on the east by the property of
Richard Sherwood Esquire To Hold to the said Alice Isabella Graves her
heirs and assigns forever.
I leave and bequeath to the said Alice Isabella all my household furniture
and household effects of every description save and except one feather bed
and bedding comprising bed, bolster, pillows, pair of blankets, pair
of sheets and quilt together with the second best bedstead mattress and
fittings which I leave and bequeath to my son John Thomas Graves
I leave devise and bequeath to my son John Thomas Graves and my daughter
Alice Isabella Graves all my bonds notes cash monies shares in vessels in
buildings companies banking companies water companies and personal estate of
every description and wheresoever situated and of what kind and denomination
soever to be possessed by them on the decease or intermarriage of their
mother, Margaret Catharine Graves, share and share alike.
I nominate constitute John Thomas Graves and Alice Isabella Graves
joint and co executor and executrix of this my last will and residuary
legatees of my estate.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this 26th day of Feb
1875.

At a court holden at Peel on the 24th Oct 1892.
Both children predeceased the testator and Cottier Graves of Patrick Street
in the town of Peel ship carpenter was sworn - pledges being Godfrey
Thompson of Castle Street  - Grocer and Cæsar John Cain of Castle Street in
Peel.
