This is the last will and testament of me Isabella Looney widow of
Margherekew in the parish of Maughold made declared and published this
eleventh day of July one thousand eight hundred and eighty four.
I commend my soul to God and my body to Christian burial at the
discretion of my executor herein after named.
I leave and bequeath to my son John Joseph Looney the whole of my personal
estate goods and effects of every nature kind and description whatsoever.
To Hold unto him the said John Joseph Looney his heirs and assigns after my
death subject to a lien and charge as herein after bequeathed.
I leave and bequeath to my sons Evan and Robert the sum of two shillings and
six pence each as legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my daughters Sarah wife of William Goldsmith
and Mary wife of Robert Corteen the sum of two shillings and six pence each
as legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my daughter Jane the sum of twenty pounds as legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my grandson Joseph Looney Corteen the sum of twenty
pounds as legacy.
I leave and bequeath to the church wardens of the parish of Maughold for the
time being and their successors in said office the sum of five pounds
sterling to be by them and their successors in said office for ever laid
out at interest on landed security and the annual interest thereof to be
applied by the said wardens for the relief of the poor persons of said
parish yearly for ever.
I leave and bequeath to each craver at law that would claim a right in
this my last will and testament the sum of six pence British.
I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my son John Joseph Looney
whole and sole executor of this my last will hereby revoking all former
wills by me heretofore made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this the
eleventh day of July one thousand eight hundred and eighty four.
