I Cecilia Tyson of Ballasalla in the parish of Malew, widow of the late
James Tyson, do hereby make and publish my last will and testament in manner
following, that is to say:
First I do hereby revoke and cancel every former will by me heretofore made.
Second I give devise and bequeath to my grandson James Tyson Thomas
(commonly known as "James Tyson") my part of the dwelling house
garden and premises, where I now reside near the bridge in Ballasalla in
he parish of Malew aforesaid - To have and to hold the same unto him the
said James Tyson Thomas, his heirs and assigns, from the day of my decease,
absolutely forever.
Third I leave and bequeath to him the said James Tyson Thomas, the
whole of my personal estate and effects of every kind and description
and I do hereby nominate constitute him the said James Tyson Thomas
sole executor of this my will.
As witness my name hereto, this 12th day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty nine.

At a Court holden at Castletown on the 12th day of November 1894. James
Tyson(James Tyson Thomas) a grandson was sworn well and truly
to fulfil and execute the same
The humble petition of James Tyson Thomas of Ballasalla in the parish
of Malew
Sheweth as follows:
1.  Cecilia Tyson late of Ballasalla in the parish of Malew,
widow, departed this life on the 21st day of January 1894 having first
duly made and published her last will and testament dated the 12th day
of January 1889 whereof she appointed your petitioner executor.
2.  It is necessary that the said will should be proved.
3.  The only next of kin of the said deceased resident on this island are
Frances Shimmin and Walter Shimmin two grandchildren.
Wherefore your petitioner humbly prays a hearing hereof and that your Honor
may be pleased to grant probate of the will of the said Cecilia
Tyson deceased, to your petitioner and that your petitioner may have
such other relief as is meet and he will pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a court to be holden at
Castletown on Monday the 12th day of November 1894 at 11:30 o'clock in the
forenoon whereof all proper parties and persons are to have due
and lawful notice.
