This is the last will and testament of Ernest Quayle Callow of Maycroft
in the town of Ramsey builder being of sound mind memory and understanding
at the making hereof.
I leave and bequeath the whole of my share and interest in the business
of a builder and contractor now carried on by me at Derby Road in the
said town of Ramsey in partnership with my brother Henry Kneale Callow under
the style and firm of James Callow and Sons and in the stock in trade
machinery plant and appliances thereof and in all book debts
moneys and credits due and owing thereto unto my said brother Henry Kneale
Callow absolutely subject nevertheless to and charged and chargeable with
the payment of all my debts whether due by me as a partner in the said firm
of James Callow and Sons or in my private
capacity and for this purpose I do so hereby exonerate my general personal
estate from the payment of the same.
I leave devise and bequeath the whole of my right title and interest in
and under a certain deed of sale in trust bearing date the eleventh day of
August one thousand eight hundred and ninety one and made between James
Callow of Maycroft aforesaid of the one part and the said Henry Kneale
Callow and the said Ernest Quayle Callow of the other part and in and to the
real and personal estate therein conveyed and transferred to my brother
Frederick Walker Callow and to my sister Margaret Ann
Callow absolutely equally between them share and share alike as tenants
in common.
I leave and bequeath all my goods, pictures, ornaments and articles of
personal use to my said sister Margaret Ann Callow absolutely.
I leave and bequeath to Eleanor Edith Teare of Waterloo Road in the said
town spinster the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds as legacy.
I leave and bequeath to Mary Jane Corlett in domestic service at my fathers
house five pounds as legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my brother James Kelly Callow the sum of
twenty pounds as legacy.
I leave and bequeath to John Quayle Joiner in the employ of James Callow and
Sons the sum of five pounds as legacy.
I leave devise and bequeath the rest residue and remainder of my real
and personal estate of every nature kind and description to my said brother
Frederick Walker Callow and my said sister Margaret Ann Callow equally
between them share and share alike and I nominate constitute
and appoint the said Henry Kneale Callow and Frederick Walker Callow
executors of this my will hereby revoking all other testamentary
writing.
In witnesses whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name the 26th day
of February one thousand eight hundred and ninety four.
