The humble petition of Jane Bridson
of East Foxdale in
the Parish of Malew Widow
Sheweth
1 Petitioner's husband John Bridson
departed this life on the 27th day of February
1894 having first duly made and published
his last Will and Testament in writing,
bearing date the day of 1894,
whereof he appointed your petitioner Executrix.
2 Petitioner is desirous of obtaining
probate of the said Will of the said John Bridson deceased.
Wherefore petitioners humbly
pray a hearing hereof and that
your Honor may be pleased to
grant probate of the said Will
of the said John Bridson deceased
to petitioner and petitioner will
ever pray &c &c
This is the last Will and Testament of me
John Bridson of East Foxdale in the Parish of
Marown, Farmer
I do hereby revoke all former Wills and
Testamentary writings by me at any time heretofore
Made and do declare this only to be my Last Will
and Testament
I give and bequeath unto my wife Jane Bridson all
my Real Estate of every nature and quality and
wheresoever situate, whether in the said Parish of Marown
or elsewhere together with all appurtenances thereunto
and assigns absolutely and forever
I give and bequeath to my brother William Bridson
the sum of Two shillings and six pence
I give and bequeath to my sister Catherine Craine
wife of John Craine of the Parish of Patrick Farmer the
sum of Two shillings and six pence.
I give and bequeath to my sister Eliza Smith wife
of Peter Smith, residing in America, the sum of Two
shillings and six pence.
I give and bequeath to my sister Esther Clark
wife of Marmaduke Clark also residing in America,
the sum of Two shillings and six pence
I give and bequeath to each of the children of my
sister Isabella Devitt (?Levitt) deceased the sum of Two
shillings and six pence
I give and bequeath to my sister Sarah Kelly
of Tosaby in the Parish of Malew Widow the sum
of Two shillings and six pence.
I give and bequeath to my sister Mary Bridson
of the Town of Douglas, Spinster the sum of Two shillings
and six pence
And as to the rest residue and remainder of my
Personal Estate and Effects of every kind and description
and wheresoever the same may be I give and bequeath
the same unto my said wife Jane Bridson for her
own absolute use and benefit. I nominate constitute
and appoint my said wife Jane Bridson Executrix
of this my last Will. In Witness whereof I the said
John Bridson have hereunto subscribed my name
this the Nineteenth day of June in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy five
