I John Quilleash of Laxey Glen in the parish of Lonan, joiner, being of
sound mind memory and understanding do make this my last will and testament
in manner following hereby revoking and cancelling all wills heretofore made
by me.
First I leave devise and bequeath to my wife Jane Quilleash during her
natural lifetime all my real estate and at her decease I leave and
bequeath to my daughter Jane wife of John Thomas Cowin the whole of
my real estate as her own absolutely.
Next I leave devise and bequeath to the children of my daughter Jane
Cowin (wife of John Thomas Cowin) the sum of three hundred pounds to
be equally divided between them namely one hundred pounds payable at
the decease of my said wife Jane Quilleash and two hundred pounds
payable upon the decease of my said daughter Jane Cowin.
Next I leave devise and bequeath to my said wife Jane Quilleash the
whole of the remainder of my personal estate of whatsoever nature or
description but in the event of my said wife dying intestate then the
whole of my personal estate  remaining at her decease shall become the
absolutely property of my said daughter Jane Cowin.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my son in law John Thomas
Cowin, sole executor of this my last will and testament and have
hereunto subscribed my name this the seventeenth day of October in the year
one thousand eight hundred and ninety four (1894)
Signed by the said testator in the presence of us present at the same time
who in the presence of the said testator and in the presence of each other
have subscribed our names as witnesses:

John Thomas Cowin of the The Glen Laxey in the parish of Lonan, agent, James
Killip of Ballamoar in parish of Lonan farmer, and John Callow
Mine Road, Laxey in parish of Lonan accountant are jointly and severally and
any two of us jointly bound unto our Sovereign Lady the Queen in the sum of
nine hundred and forty pounds to the payment whereof, well and truly to be
made to our said Lady the Queen her heirs and successors, we bind and oblige
ourselves jointly and severally, and any two of us
jointly, our executors and administrations firmly by these present.  As
witness as our subscriptions the 21st day of November in the year of Our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety six.
The condition of the obligation is such that if the above named John Thomas
Cowin who seek to obtain a grant of Probate of the last will and testament
of John Quilleash late of The Glen, Laxey, in the parish of
Lonan but now deceased, who died on or about the 26th day of June 1896, do,
when lawfully called on in that behalf, make or cause to be made a
true and perfect inventory of all and singular the personal estate and
effects of the said deceased, which have or shall come to his hands,
possession, or knowledge or into the hands of any other person for him and
the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, into the
proper Registry in that half whenever required by law so to do:  And the
same personal estate, and effects of the said decease, which shall at any
time come into the hand or possession of the said John Thomas Cowin of The
Glen, Laxey, in the parish of Lonan, Agent, or into the hands or possession
of any other person or person for him or which without
default might have come into the hands or possession of the said John Thomas
Cowin do well and truly administer according to law, that is to
say, do pay the debts and liabilities of the said decease so far as the
said personal estate will extend and the law bind the said John Thomas Cowin
then this obligation to be void and of no effect or else to remain
in full force and virtue.
