In the name of God Amen.
The sixth day of December eighteen hundred and seventy six.
I George Maddrell farmer of Grenaby in the parish of Malew of sound mind and
memory thanks be to God for the same calling to mind that it is appointed
unto all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will
and testament.
I give my soul unto the hands of Almighty God and my body to be buried in
a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executor and as
touching such worldly estate where with it has pleased God to bless me with
in this life I give an bequeath and dispose of the same in the
following manner.
First I appoint my wife Margaret Maddrell sole executor as long as she
remains in my name if she marries she is to pay one hundred to the children
all equal.
 I give and bequeath to my son George Henry Maddrell the sum of forty pounds
sterling and that he is to stay five years with his mother to act and settle
-  or lose twenty pounds sterling.
I give and bequeath to Margaret Maddrell ten pounds sterling.
I give and bequeath to Ann Jane Maddrell the sum of ten pounds sterling. I
give and bequeath to Cathrine Maddrell the sum of ten pounds sterling. I
give and bequeath to Emily Maddrell the sum of ten pounds sterling the
half of the household furniture and half of the beds to be given and
bedding to the four girls at their mothers death.  I also state that none
of the forementioned parties are entitled to their money till they are
thirty years of age.
I give and bequeath to Albert Edward Maddrell the sum of twenty pounds
sterling
I also give and bequeath to Wm Edward Frederick Maddrell the  sum of twenty
pounds sterling.
 I also give and bequeath to Robert Walter Maddrell the sum of twenty pounds
sterling.
I also give and bequeath to Leopold Stanley Taggart Maddrell the sum of
twenty pounds sterling ten pounds each towards giving them  a trade and the
other ten at twenty one years of age.
I hereby utterly disallow revoke and annul all and every other former
testament wills legacies requests and executors by me in any ways
before named willed bequeathed or ordered ratifying and confirming this and
no other to be my last will and testament in witness where off I
have subscribed my name and mark the day and year above written. George
Maddrell
Signed pronounced and declared by the said George Maddrell to be his last
will and testament in presence of us the subscribing witnesses.

Margaret Maddrell predeceased her husband with George Henry Maddrell and
Albert Edwin Maddrell both of Grenaby sons of the testator sworn to execute
the will of their father at a court holden at Castletown on the 25th day of
January 1897.
