Lonan 1897 No 199 I John James Kelly of Laxey Glen in the Parish of Lonan, miner, being of sound disposing mind, memory & understanding do make this my last will & testament in manner following hereby revoking & cancelling all wills heretofore made by me. First I leave devise & bequeath to my mother Jane Kelly the sum of ten pounds. Next I leave devise & bequeath to my two daughters Helena Kelly & Annie Kelly the sum of twenty-five pounds each payable when they come of age & I also bequeath the same amount on the same conditions to any other child that may be born to me. In the event of one of my children dying before coming of age, then the survivor or survivors shall have the portion divided between them of such deceased child. Next I leave devise & bequeath to my wife Mona Kelly the sum of two hundred pounds sterling for the purpose of erecting or buying a suitable dwelling house, payable out of the money due at my decease from the Ancient Order of United Workmen in the United States of America. I also I leave devise & bequeath to my said wife Mona Kelly the sum of two pounds ten shillings monthly which said sum of £2-10-0 shall be paid monthly out (of) the principal of my personal estate to my said wife during her lifetime in addition to the interest arising or accruing annually out of the balance of my real & personal estate & upon the decease of my said wife Mona Kelly the whole of the balance then remaining (if any) of any real & personal estate shall be equally & proportionately divided between my children then living. Lastly I nominate constitute & appoint my said wife Mona Kelly sole executrix of this my last will & testament & have hereunto subscribed my name this twenty-first day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred & ninety seven.
