The humble petition of Fanny Hibbert Callow, widow, James Callow,
jeweler both of the town of Ramsey and Edith Sarah Callow of the town
of Stroud in the County of Gloucester in England B. A. Schoolmistress.
Sheweth: That James Callow of Ramsey aforesaid (watchmaker and jeweler)
husband of the said Fanny Hibbert Callow and father of the said James Callow
and Edith Sarah Callow, your petitioners, lately (viz on the 15th December
1900) departed this life having first duly (on the 27th April 1892) made and
published his last will and testament in writing whereof he appointed his
daughter Helena Jane Callow the sole executrix. That the said Helena Jane
Callow some time ago viz, on the 1st day of March 1899, departed this life.
That your petitioners are desirous that Letters of Administration to the
estate of the said James Callow deceased with the said will annexed
should be granted to your petitioners James Callow and Edith Sarah
Callow who are desirous to take upon themselves the burden and
execution of the same.
Wherefore your petitioners pray a hearing hereof and that your Honor
may be pleased to grant probate of the will of the said James Callow and
to appoint and swear or order and direct to be sworn your petitioners James
Callow and Edith Sarah Callow administrator and administratrix
to the estate of the said James Callow deceased with the said will
annexed in due form of law and your petitioners will pray.
For the said petitioners John Craine advocate
Ordered that this petition do come and to be heard before me at a court
to be holden at Ramsey on Monday the 28th day of January 1901. Whereof all
proper persons and parties are to have due notice.

This is the last will and testament of me James Callow of Number Fifty
Five Waterloo Road in the town of Ramsey Watchmaker and Jeweller.
I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Fanny Hibbert should she
survive me all and singular the whole of my real and personal estate of
whatsoever nature and kind and wheresoever situate To Have and To Hold the
same to her the said Fanny Hibbert my wife as aforesaid for and
during term of her natural life only.
And in the event of her death either before or after my decease I give and
devise unto my son James Callow all and singular the whole of the real
estate to me belonging situated in the parish of Michael and consisting
of a parcel of land part of the quarterland of West Berk and a house and
garden situated in Glen Willyn To Have and To Hold the same to him his heirs
and assigns forever. I give and devise unto my three daughters Helena Jane,
Edith Sarah, and Frances Kate all and singular that and
those dwelling House gardens and premises situated and being Number Fifty
Five in Waterloo Road in Ramsey aforesaid To have and To Hold the same to
them their heirs and assigns in equal portions share and share alike forever
and in the event of the death of any one of them the said Helena Jane, Edith
Sarah, or Frances Kate without leaving issue her surviving her share to be
divided equally between the two survivors of them my said daughters their
heirs and assigns and in the event of the death of any two of them the said
Helena Jane, Edith Sarah, or Frances Kate without leaving issue them
surviving their shares to go to the sole survivor of them my said daughters
her heirs and assigns. I give and bequeath unto them my said daughters
Helena Jane, Edith Sarah, and Frances Kate the whole of my household
furniture goods and effects to
be divided in equal parts amongst them share and share alike as they the
said Helena Jane, Edith Sarah, and Frances Kate may agree upon between
themselves. I give and bequeath unto my said daughters Helena Jane,
Edith Sarah, and Frances Kate the sum of four hundred and fifty pounds
should she or they die without leaving issue her or them surviving to go
to the survivors or survivor of them the said Helena Jane, Edith Sarah, or
Frances Kate and their or her heirs and assigns.
I give devise and bequeath all and singular all other property to me
belonging not herein before mentioned of whatsoever nature and wheresoever
situated to my said children to be divided equally amongst them and To Have
and To Hold the same to them and their respective
heirs and assigns forever. And I hereby declare that all gifts devises and
bequests herein and hereunder made to my said daughters are made upon the
express condition that the dwelling house gardens premises and any share
shares or interest therein hereditament furniture goods monies
and effects therein and thereby included and every part portion article sum
and item thereof shall be held and taken and enure to and for the
sole and separate use of and benefit of them and each of them the said
Helena Jane, Edith Sarah, and Frances Kate and be absolutely free and
discharged of and from the debts control interference or engagements of any
husband or husbands with whom any one two or all of them may respectively
intermarry.
And further that they or she shall notwithstanding such coverture have full
and absolute power and authority either by Deed or Will or otherwise without
the consent of any their or her husbands or husband to convey limit and
appoint the said dwelling house gardens and premises or any share shares or
interest therein all hereditaments furniture goods
monies and effects and any part portion article sum and item thereof to such
person or persons and in such manner and way and for such estate
or estates and interest as to them or her may seem fit and proper and shall
likewise have possess and exercise all power and authorities over
the same in every respect as if they or she had remained single and
unmarried d I hereby revoke all former wills codicils and other testamentary
dispositions made by me at any time or times
And do nominate and appoint my daughter Helena Jane sole executrix of this
my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this twenty seventh
day of April One thousand eight hundred and ninety two. 1892. James Callow

for his last will and testament in the presence of us present at the
same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each
other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses:

The annexed paper writing dated 27th day of April 1892 having been proved to
be the last will and testament of James Callow late of No. 52 Waterloo Road
in the town of Ramsey Watchmaker and Jeweler deceased who died on the 15th
day of December 1900 and Helena Jane Callow the executrix therein named
having predeceased the testator. This court
hath therefore granted administration (with his said will annexed) of the
personal estate and effects of the said James Callow deceased to James
Callow of the town of Ramsey Jeweler and a son of the testator and
Edith Sarah Callow of the town of Stroud in the County of Gloucester,
spinster Bachelor of Arts, a daughter of the testator and accordingly
they are sworn well and faithfully to administer the personal estate
and effects of the said James Callow deceased in terms of his said will
