belonging to me. And after the payment of my just debts, Funeral and Testamentary expenses to invest the
balance of my money, as a first mortgage on good security and to pay the interest arising there from half
yearly unto my said wife.
And upon the death of my said wife I direct my trustee and Executor to call in the aforesaid invested money
and to pay out of it the following legacies.

share and share alike unto my son Thomas Seymour Gale and my daughter Emily Edith Gale.
And I further direct that if any of my aforesaid children predecease my said wife, Ellen Gale, and
leave issue, such issue is to take equally between them the share his, her or their parent would
have taken, had they lived.
I declare that any legacy or interest under this my will, to which any female shall become entitled,
shall be for her sole and separate use, independently of any husband she may marry, and of his debts,
control and managements.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this Twenty seventh day of May,
One thousand nine hundred and three.
