This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Callow of Ballure Road
in the town of Ramsey Bootmaker which I make publish and declare in
form and manner following that is to say:-
I give and bequeath to John Brew, William Brew(Butcher) Margaret
Joughin wife of Victor C. Joughin, Frederick Brew(Bank Agent) Jane
Cross my housekeeper all of the town or Ramsey aforesaid Edward Brew
of Birkenhead (Engineer) Jane Corkall wife of A. B. Corkall of the town of
Douglas and Alice Naylor wife of the Reverend Frederick Naylor the sum
of twenty pounds each.
I leave and bequeath to Catherine Brew of Allure Road Spinster and
Robert Brew Grocer both of the said town of Ramsey the sum of one hundred
pounds each.
I give and bequeath to my brother James Callow the sum of two hundred and
fifty pounds.
I give and bequeath to my brother William Callow the sum of fifty pounds And
as to the residue of my personal estate after payment of all my just debts
funeral and other expenses I give and bequeath the same unto and amount the
whole of the aforesaid legatees in proportion to the amounts of their
several legacies.
I give devise and bequeath that estate lands and premises called
Ballaskeig Beg in the parish of Maughold to my said brother William
Callow to hold to him for the term of his natural life and on his decease
I give and devise and bequeath the same to my nephew William Callow to hold
to him and his heirs and assigns subject however to the payment of the
following legacies namely to his brother Frederick Callow the sum of sixty
pounds to his brother Thomas Callow the sum of thirty pounds to
his sister Minnie Callow the sum of fifty pounds and to his sisters Annie
Callow, Lily Callow and Alice Callow the sum of twenty pounds each and
I hereby declare that the last named legacies (amounting in the whole to the
sum of two hundred pounds) are to remain a lien and charge on my
said real estate until the same are paid off and discharged by the said
William Callow the younger his heirs and assigns.
And I nominate constitute and appoint the said Robert Brew of Ramsey
aforesaid sole executor of this my will hereby revoking all other wills
or paper testamentary by me at anytime heretofore made or executed and
declaring this only to be my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this eleventh
day of August one thousand nine hundred and three 1903   Thomas Callow my x

Signed published and declared by the said testator as and for his last
will and testament in our presence who at his request in his presence
and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as
witnesses the date aforesaid

Know all men by these presents that we Robert Brew of the Quay Ramsey
Grocer, William Callow of Waterloo Road Ramsey builder, and James
Callow of Cobbing Road Ramsey Joiner are jointly and severally and any
two of us jointly bound unto our Sovereign Lord the King in the sum of
one thousand and two hundred pounds to the payment whereof well and truly to
be made to our said Lord the King, his heirs and successors, we bind and
oblige ourselves jointly and severally, and any two of us
jointly, our Executors and Administrators, firmly by these presents.
As witness our subscriptions the 5th day of October in the year of Our Lord
one thousand nine hundred and three
The condition of our obligation is such, that if the above named Robert Brew
(hereinafter called "the Executor) who seeks to obtain a grant of Probate of
the last will and testament of the said Thomas Callow but
now decease, who died at Ramsey on or about the 20th day of  September 1903
do, when lawfully called on in that behalf, make or cause to be
made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the personal estate
and effects of the said deceased, which have or shall come into his
hands, possession, or knowledge, or into the hands of any other person for
him and the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, into
the proper Registry in that behalf whenever required by law so to do: And
the same personal estate and effects, of the said decease, which shall at
any time come into the hands or possession of the Executor, or into the
hands of any other person or persons for him or which without default might
have come into the hands or possession of the Executor, do well
and truly administer according to law, that is to say, do pay the debts
and liabilities of the said decease so far as the said personal estate will
extend and the law bind the Executor, then this obligation to be void and
of no effect or else to remain in full force and virtue.
