The humble petition of John Halsall of Moaney Moar in the parish of German,
farmer, Frederick James Halsall of Cronk y Voddy in the parish
of German, farmer, Thomas Clague of Number 6 Princes Road in the town of
Douglas, labourer and Christian Clague his wife and Emily Jane Halsall
of Moaney Moar aforesaid spinster.
Sheweth as follows:
1.  Jane Halsall of Moaney Moar in the parish of German, widow, mother
of your petitioner's Frederick James Halsall, Christian Clague and Emily
Jane Halsall and grandmother of your petitioner John Halsall died on the 4th
day of August 1903 intestate.
2.  It is necessary that Letters of Administration of the personal estate
and effects of the said Jane Halsall should be granted to some fit and
proper person.
Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray a hearing hereof and that your Honor
may be pleased to grant Letters of Administration of the personal estate and
effects of the said Jane Halsall deceased to your petitioner John Halsall
and your petitioners will ever pray.  Fred Clucas Advocate

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a court to be held at
Peel on Monday the 9th day of November 1903 at 14:15 forenoon, whereof all
proper parties and persons to have due and lawful notice.

At a court held at Peel the 9th day of November 1903.
Upon hearing this petition in presence of the parties or their advocates,
and it being proved that Jane Halsall late of Moaney Moar in the parish of
German widow on or about the 4th day of August 1903 departed this life at
Moaney Moar aforesaid and intestate,
This court hath decreed John Halsall also of Moaney Moar aforesaid
farmer a grandson of the deceased administrator of all and singular the
personal estate and effects of the said deceased, and accordingly he is
sworn well and truly to administer the said estate and effects of the
said deceased by paying her just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as
the said estate and effects will extend, and the law bind him and
distributing the residue according to Law, and to return to the proper
Registry a full, true, and perfect inventory of all and singular the said
estate and effects, with an accurate account of his administration
thereof, when thereunto lawfully required.

Estate of Jane Halsall, late of Moaney Moar in the parish of German,
widow.

Know all men by these present we John Halsall of Moaney Moar in the
parish of German, farmer, Phillip Teare of Ballaugh, Coroner, and John
William Kewley of Peel, Clerk, are jointly and severally and any two of
us jointly bound unto our Sovereign Lord the King in the sum of twenty
five pounds to the payment whereof , well and truly to be made to our
said Lord the King, his heirs, and successors, we bind and oblige
ourselves jointly and severally, and any two of us jointly, our executors
and administrators, firmly by these present.
As witness our subscriptions the 9th day of November in the year of Our Lord
one thousand nine hundred and three.

The condition of our obligation is such, that if the above named John
Halsall of Moaney Moar in the parish of German (hereinafter called the
said administrator) the intended administrator of all and singular the
personal estate and effects of Jane Halsall late of Moaney Moar in the
Parish of German but now deceased, who died at Moaney Moar on or about the
fourth day of August 1903 do, when lawfully called on in that behalf, make,
or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory of all and
singular the personal estate and effects of the said deceased which have or
shall come into his hands, possession, or knowledge, or into the hands
of any other person for him and the same so made to exhibit, or cause to be
exhibited into the property registry in that  behalf whenever required
by law so to do; and the same Personal Estate, and effects and all other the
personal estate and effects of the said deceased, which shall at any time
come into the hands or possession of the said Administrator, or
into the hands or possession of any other person or person for him or which
without fault might have come into the hands or possession of the said
Administrator, do well and truly administer according to law, that
is to say, do pay the debts and liabilities of the said deceased so far as
the personal estate will extend and the law bind the said Administrator, and
to deliver and pay unto the person or persons legally entitled thereto all
the rest and residue of the said personal estate and effects, then this
obligation to be void and of no effect or else to remain in full force and
