We the undersigned authorize F. M.
Lamothe of Ramsey advocate to
present a petition in our names
at the court at Ramsey on Monday
the 30th day of November 1903 praying
for a limited grant of administration
of the Estate of the late Richard Pass
being made to John Teare of
Cranstal Bride President of the
Bride Union Friendly Society.

The humble petition of Ann Jane Pass of
number three Tower Road in the town of
Ramsey widow and Margaret Ann Pass of the
same address spinster.
Sheweth:
1. Richard Pass formerly of number three Tower Road aforesaid
the husband of your petitioner Ann Jane Pass and the father of your
petitioner Margaret Ann Pass died on the twenty-third day of Sept-
ember one thousand nine hundred and three intestate.
2. John Christian of Close Ballakilley in the parish of Bride
farmer and Alice his wife granted and passed their deed of Bond and
Security bearing date the fourth day of June one thousand eight hun-
dred and sixty-four to the said Richard Pass then President of the
Kirk Bride Union Friendly Society and Robert Allen and John Kneale
then Stewards of the said Society for the principal sum of Twenty
pounds bearing interest as therein specified and secured upon certain
lands in the said parish of Bride called Close Ballakilley.
3. The said Robert Allen and John Kneale predeceased the said
Richard Pass
4. John Teare of Cranstal in the said parish of Bride is now
the President and Mark Henry Joughin of Thurot Cottage in the said
parish and Charles Kneale of the Village of Bride Joiner are now the
Stewards of the said Society.
5. The proprietor of the said lands of Close Ballakilley has
called upon the President and Stewards of the said Society to accept
payment of the amount due under the said deed of Bond and Security
and to cancel the same on Record.
7. In order to execute a valid receipt to cancel it is nec-
essary that some fit and proper person should be appointed as admin-
istrator of the Estate of the said Richard Pass to join with the
President and Stewards of the said Society in executing such Receipt
to Cancel.
7. Your petitioners do not desire to obtain a grant of general
administration of the said estate but consent to a grant of administ-
ration of the said Estate of the said Richard Pass limited to the
said deed of Bond and Security of the fourth day of June one thousand
eight hundred and sixty four being made to the said John Teare the
President of the said Society.
WHEREFORE your petitioners humbly pray a hearing
hereof and that Your Honour may be pleased to
grant administration of the said Estate of the
said Richard Pass limited nevertheless to the said
deed of Bond and Security of the fourth day of June
one thousand eight hundred and sixty four being
made to the said John Teare or to some other fit
and proper person and your petitioners will ever
pray

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a
Court to be held at Ramsey on Monday the 30th day of
November 1903, at 11:15 o'clock forenoon. Whereof all proper
parties and persons are to have due and lawful notice.

Upon hearing this petition
in the presence of the parties or
their advocates, and it being
known that Richard Pass late of
No. 3 Tower Road in the town
of Ramsey Advocates clerk deceased
who died on the 23rd day of
September 1903 at Ramsey
aforesaid intestate. This Court
hath therefore granted limited
administration of the personal
estate and effects of the said
deceased limited and so far only
as the same affects a certain deed
of Bond and Security granted and
passed on John Chrisian of
Close Ballakilly in the Parish of
Bride farmer and Alice his
wife to the said Richard Pass
then President of the Kirk Bride
Union Friendly Society and Robert
Allan and John Kneale then
Stewards of the Law Society for
the principal sum of twenty
pounds and secured upon certain
lands in the said Parish of Bride
called Close Ballakilly - to
John Teare of Cranstal in the
Parish of Bride farmer the
present president of the said
Society and accordingly the said
John Teare is sworn well and
lawfully to administer the personal
estate and effects of the said
Richard Pass deceased limited as
aforesaid as above according to law.

Estate of Richard Pass late of
Tower Road in the town of Ramsey Clerk.
KNOW all men by these present that we John Teare of
Cranstal in the parish of Bride, Mark Henry
Joughin of Thurot Cottage in the said parish
and Charles Kneale of the Village in the
said parish ~~~~~~~~~~
are jointly and severally and any two of us jointly bound unto our
Sovereign Lord the King in the sum of Twenty
pounds to the payment whereof, well and truly to be made to our said
Lord the King, his heirs, and successors, we bind and oblige ourselves
jointly and severally, and any two of us jointly, our Executors and
Administrators, firmly by these present.
AS WITNESS our subscriptions the 30th day of November
in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and three.
THE CONDITION of our obligation is such, that if the above
named John Teare ~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~(hereinafter called the said Administrator) the
intended Administrator of all and singular the personal estate and effects of
Richard Pass late of
Tower Road in the town of Ramsey aforsaid
but now deceased, who died at Ramsey on or about
the twenty-third day of September 1903
do when lawfully called on in that behalf, make, or cause to be made, a
true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Personal Estate and
effects of the said deceased which have or shall come into his
hands, possession, or knowledge, or into the hands of any other person
for him and the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be
exhibited into the proper Registry in that behalf whenever required by law
so to do; and the same Personal Estate, and effects and all other the
personal estate and effects of the said deceased, which shall at any time
come into the hands or possession of the said Administrator, or into the
hands or possession of any other person or persons for him or which
without fault might have come into the hands or possession of the said
Administrator, do well and truly administer according to law, that is to
say, do pay the debts and liabilities of the said deceased so far as the
personal estate will extend and the law bind the said Administrator, and
to deliver and pay unto the person or persons legally entitled thereto all the
rest and residue of the said personal estate and effects, then this obligation
to be void and of no effect, or else to remain in full force and virtue.
