This is the last will and testament of me John Gilbertson of the parish
of Santan Joiner.
I revoke all testamentary writings heretofore executed by me.
I bequeath all the household furniture and effects of the like nature in
and about my dwelling house at the time of my decease to my wife
Isabella for her use for life and upon her death the same to be divided
equally between my two daughters Emily wife of Cyrus Gregor and Clara wife
of William Kissack.
I give and devise the rest residue and remainders of my real and personal
estate to my trustees hereinafter named Upon Trust for the use and benefit
of my said wife Isabella for and during the term of her natural
life.  And upon her decease as to my two dwelling houses gardens and
premises as now occupied by me in Santan aforesaid and including the garden
situate on the opposite side of the road and near to my said dwelling houses
In Trust for my son Joseph Gilbertson for his life and thereafter for Ernest
Craine son of Sarah Craine (and which Ernest
Craine now lives with Robert Moore at Kewaigne Moar )if he be then
living absolutely but if he be then dead then In Trust for  the said Ernest
Craine's widow if any and his child or children if any in such proportions
as he may appoint by his last will and failing such appointment and so
far as such appointment shall not extended to my right heir at law living
at the death of the said Joseph Gilbertson.  And as to all the  residue of
my said estates Real and Personal on the decease of my said wife In
Trust for my son Joseph Gilbertson and my said daughters Emily Gregor and
Clara Kissack equally between them but in case any or either of the said
three children shall die before my said wife and leaving issue living
at the death of my said wife such issue shall take the shares original or
accrued which their parent or parents would if living have taken.  And if
any or either of the said three children die without leaving issue living
at the death of my said wife then the share of such child or children to
be equally divided or to belong to the survivors or survivor  of them and
the issue of any deceased child such issue to take their parent's share
only.
The share of each of the said daughters of mine in my estate Real and
Personal of whatsoever nature to be for her separate use to be free from the
control of any husband.
I nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Isabella Gilbertson and
John James Keayes of the Cooil in Braddan, Blacksmith,  Executors and
Trustees of this my will.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name this ninth day
of July one thousand eight hundred and ninety eight (1898).
