The humble petition of Anne Bridson of Number 7 Fairleigh Terrrace Brunswich
Road in 1/2 borough of Douglas widow.
Sheweth:
Catherine Gick late of No 2 Swiss Villas in the parish of Conchan spinster
died on or about the 10th day June 1906 at Number 7 Fairleigh Terrace
aforesaid leaving a will dated  16th day of December 1905 whereof she
appointed your petitioner sole executrix.
Your petitioner is desirous of obtaining probate of the said will. Wherefore
your petitioner humbly prays (1) a hearing hereof (2) that your Honor may be
pleased to grant probate  of the said will to your petitioner (3)  Such
other and further relief as is meet.
And your petitioner will ever pray

I Catherine Gick of No 2 Swiss Villas in the Borough of Douglas, now
residing at No. 7 Fairleigh Terrace in Douglas, spinster do hereby make and
publish my last will and testament in manner following hereby revoking every
former will  by me heretofore made.
I give devise and bequeath to Mrs Anne Bridson (widow) of 7 Fairleigh
Terrace aforesaid my dwelling house, garden and premises No 2 Swiss Villas
aforesaid.  to Have and To hold unto her and her heirs and assigns from the
day of my decease, absolutely forever.
I leave and bequeath the sum of fifty pounds to the Vicar and Wardens of
Santon such sum to be invested and the yearly interest to be spent in
keeping the grave of my father mother and sisters tidy and in good order.
The balance (if any) to be applied for the general care of the churchyard. I
leave and bequeath the following pecuniary legacies namely.
To Dr Thomas MacKenzie of Sydney Mount Douglas one hundred pounds.
To Esther Jane Bridson a nursing sister in the Royal Southern Hospital in
Liverpool forty seven pounds ten shillings
To Catherine Alice Bridson a nurse in the London Hospital a like sum of
forty seven pounds ten shillings.
I leave and bequeath all the remainder of my personal estate of goods monies
and  effects of every description to Mrs Anne Bridson (widow) of 7 Fairleigh
Terrace aforesaid and I appoint her sole executrix of this my will.
As witness my name thereto this 16th day of December 1905.  Catherine Gick

In the goods of Catherine Gick deceased.
I Anne Bridson of No 7 Fairleigh Terrace in the borough of Douglas widow
being sworn on the Holy Evangelists make oath and say as follows:
1. I know and am well acquainted with the family and relations of Catherine
Gick late of Number 2 Swiss Villas in the parish of Onchan spinster.
2.  The said Catherine Gick died on or about the 10th day of June 1906 at
Number 7 Fairleigh Terrace aforesaid a spinster
(3) Deceadants father and mother both predeceased her.
(4) All deceadant's brother and sisters predeceased her leaving no issue him
her or them surviving.
(5) All deceadant's lineal ancestors, uncles, aunts, great uncles and great
aunts predeceased her.
(6) Deceadant's paterial uncle Thomas Gick predeceased her leaving children
all of whom are resident off the Isle of Man.
(7) Deceadents paterial aunt Elizabeth Karran predecease her leaving two
sons and no more who survived deceadent namely the Reverend James Karran of
Selborune Cottage Selbourne Road in the town of Douglas and George Christian
Karran of Seamount Scarlet near the town of Castletown and four daughters
and no more who survived deceadent namely Elizabeth Gillet of Woodlea
Secombe in the  County of Chester widow, Maragret Annie Stephen wife of
William Charles Stephen of Bella Vista Victoria Road in the borough of
Douglas, Clara Thomson of Bishop Yards Perwith in the County of Cumberland
widow and Catherine Milner wife of George Milner of Rewar New Middlesborough
in the County of York.
(8) Deceadent's paternal aunt Christian Bridson predeceased her leaving two
children and no more who survived deceadant namely Catherine Whiteside of
"Millmount" in the parish of Braddan widow and Christian Kissack wife of
Christopher I Kissack of Queens Avenue in the borough of Douglas.
(9) Deceadant's paternal aunt Jane Campbell predeceased her leaving four
children and no more who survived deceadent namely Catherine E. Lace of
Grove Mount in the town of Ramsey Widow. Christina Lowden wife  of William
Lowden of Woodbine Formby in the County of Lancaster and Jane E. Curphey
wife of William Curphey of Coburg Road in the town of Ramsey and Mary Ann
Crennell of Savony Road in the City of Liverpool widow.
(10) Deceadant's material uncle of the half blood, John Curphey predeceaed
her leaving four sons and no more  who survived deceadant namely John
Curphey, William Curphey, James Curphey and Edward Curphey all of whom are
resident off the island of Man and four daughters and no more who survived
deceadent namely Christian Hughes wife of Hugh Huges of the Poplars near
Rhyl in the County of Flint. Isabella Newton wife of Edward Newton of Derby
Square in the borough of Douglas Margaret Curphey of the borough of Douglas
spinster and petitioner.
(11) No other uncle or aunt of deceadant predecease her leaving children who
survived deceadent.
(12) The value of the personal estate of deceadent in the Isle of Man is
under the sum of four hundred pounds.

Usual Bond taken out by Anne Bridson of Number 7 Fairleigh Terrace in he
Borough of Douglas widow and Edward Martin of the town of Castletown Title
Agent and John William Stephen of the Borough of Douglas Advocate.  In the
amount of four hundred pounds on 30th day of June 1906.
