The humble petition of Arthur Crea of Number 18 Albert Street in the borough
of Douglas, Grocer, Tom Crea of Colby in the parish of Arbory, Police
constable, Robert William Cretney of 18 Albert Street aforesaid, Smith, and
Ethel Cretney his wife.
Sheweth:
1.  You petitioner's uncle Christopher Gick late of Number 10 Queen
Street in the Borough of Douglas, died on the 13th day of February 1908,
intestate, and a bachelor.
2.  It is necessary that Letters of Administration of the personal estate
and effects of the said Christopher Gick deceased should be granted and
petitioners are desirous that administration should be granted to your
petitioner, Arthur Crea.
Wherefore petitioners humbly pray a hearing here of and that your Honor may
be pleased to grant Letters of Administration of the personal estate and
effects of the said deceased to your petitioner Arthur Crea, or to some
other fit and proper person or persons, and petitioners will ever
pray.

At a Court held at Douglas the 16th day of March 1908 Arthur Crea of Number
18 Albert Street in the said Borough of Douglas Grocer a nephew of the
deceased was decreed administrator.
In the goods of Christopher Gick late of Number 10 Queen Street in the
Borough of Douglas Grocer.
Know all men by these presents that we Arthur Crea of No 18 Albert Street in
the Borough of Douglas Grocer, Robert William Cretney of the same place,
Smith and Aaron Cowin of 8 Shaws Brow in the said Borough Painter  are
jointly and severally and any two of us jointly bound unto
our Sovereign Lord the King in the sum of Seventy pounds to the payment
whereof well and truly to be made to our said Lord the king, his heirs and
successor, we bind and oblige ourselves jointly and severally, and any
two of us jointly our executors and administrators, firmly by these
presents.
As witness our subscriptions the 14th day of March in the year of our
Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.
The condition of our obligation is such, that if the above named Arthur Crea
who seeks to obtain Letters of Administration of all and singular the
personal estate and effects of Christopher Gick late of No 10 Queen Street
Douglas but now deceased who died on or about the 13th day of February 1908
at No. 10 Queen Street aforesaid do, when lawfully called on in that behalf
make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular
the personal estate and effects of the said deceased, which have or shall
come into his hands, possession or knowledge or into the hands of any other
person for him and the same so made do exhibit,
or cause to be exhibited into the proper Registry in that behalf whenever
required by law so to do:  And the same personal estate and effect, and
all other personal estate and effects of the said decease, which shall at
any time come into the hand or possession of the administrator or into
the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him or which
without default might have come into the hands or possession of the
Administrator, do well and truly administer according to law, that is to
say, do pay the debts and liabilities of the said deceased so far as the
said personal estate  will extend and the law bind the Administrator and
to deliver and pay unto the person or persons legally entitled thereto all
the rest and residue of the said personal estate and effects, then this
obligation to be void and of no effect or else to remain in full force and
virtue.
