This is the last will and testament of me John Mathews of 15 Alexander Drive
in the borough of Douglas Gentleman and I hereby revoke all wills codicils
or testamentary dispositions heretofore at any time made or executed by me.
I leave and bequeath to my cousin Jane Callister wife of William
Callister of Long Island in the United States of America and daughter of
Thomas Mylrea late of Kirk Michael in the Isle of Man Miller the sum of
two hundred pounds.
I leave and bequeath to my cousin Mary Elizabeth Cain of Kemlyn Road in the
city of Liverpool widow of John Cain deceased the sum of two
hundred pounds
I leave and bequeath to Ernest William Caine son the said Mary Elizabeth
Caine the sum of one hundred pounds and all my shares in the "Isle of Man
Steam Packet Company Limited".
I leave and bequeath to Francis Philip Caine son of the said Mary
Elizabeth Caine the sum of four hundred pounds.
I leave and bequeath to Ellen Callister daughter of Ann Sayle hereinafter
mentioned and wife of William Callister of 69 St James Street in Eccles
in the County of Lancashire the sum of One hundred pounds.
I leave and bequeath to Florence Lea daughter of William Thomas Lea at
present residing at 15 Alexander Drive in the borough of Douglas,
Ironmonger, the sum of two hundred pounds.
I leave and bequeath to my cousin Jane Lea wife of the said William
Thomas Lea the sum of two hundred pounds.
I leave and bequeath to James Kissack tenant of my dwelling house and
premises "11" in Drinkwater Street in the borough of Douglas the sum of
fifty pounds.
I leave and bequeath unto the trustees of Nobles Isle of Man Hospital the
sum of fifty pounds in trust for the general purposes of that institution.
I leave and bequeath to the trustees of the House of Industry the sum of
fifty pounds in trust for the general purposes of that institution.
I leave and devise and bequeath to my cousin Ann Sayle wife of William Sayle
of Lambfell in the parish of German Farmer  my dwelling house and premises
aforesaid occupied by the said James Kissack and numbered
"1l" in Drinkwater Street in the borough of Douglas the sum of one
hundred and fifty pounds.
I leave and bequeath to Thomas Sayle son of the said Ann Sayle, the sum of
two hundred pounds and my gold watch and chain.
I leave devise and bequeath to Catherine Jane Wilson daughter of the said
Jane Lea and widow of Richard Wilson deceased the dwelling house and
premises wherein I now reside Number "15" in Alexander Drive in the borough
of Douglas the sum of two hundred pounds.
I leave devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my
property real and personal of whatsoever kind and description including
the whole of my household furniture and effects to the said Ann Sayle
wife of William Sayle aforesaid.  And I hereby declare that all benefits
taken hereunder by any female shall be for her sole and separate use free
from marital control and that real estate hereby devised to any female shall
be held by her and her heirs and assigns absolutely for her sole and
separate use free from marital control. And I nominate and appoint
Robert Henry Cubbon of "11" Parl road in the borough of Douglas accountant
sole executor hereof.
Witness my name hereunto subscribed this fifteenth day of November one

20 Jan 1908 Robert Henry Cubbon sworn executor  with pledges being William
Albert Ward of Cornoa in Alexander Drive in the Borough of
Douglas Gentleman and John Edward Coupe of Victoria Street in the town of
Douglas Tobacconist.
