This is the last will and testament of me Hannah Maria Moore of No. 4
Salisbury Terrace in the borough of Douglas in the Isle of Man spinster.
I revoke all wills and testamentary dispositivies heretofore made by me and
I appoint William Todhunter of the said borough of Douglas Justice of the
Peace and Llewellyn Stanley Kneale of the said borough of Douglas Advocate
executors hereof.
I bequeath to the said William Todhunter if he take probate of this will
the sum of one hundred pounds and to the said Llewellyn Stanley Kneale
if he takes probate of this will the sum of one hundred pounds.
I bequeath to my cousin Catherine Stowell Grier wife of the Reverend
John Bolton Grier Rector of Tulla in the County of Close in Ireland the
portraits in oil of my father and mother at present hanging in my dining
room and also a piece of needlework framed as a picture now hanging in
my drawing room and also my fine gold brooch set with a carbinate(?) and
also the sum of two hundred pounds.
I bequeath to my servant Catherine Wurstanteq if she be in my service at the
time of my death all my wearing apparel and the sum of five hundred pounds
such legacy to be in addition to any wages that may be due or accruing due
to her at the time of my death.
I bequeath to Mary Sophia Morison widow of the late Murdoch Shaw
Morison late of Crowhurst Torrington Park North Finchelay London my
fine gold corneliars(?) brooch set with forget me nots and which formerly
belonged to the late Mary Susannah Killey of Derby Square in the said
borough of Douglas.
I bequeath to the Vicar and Wardens of Santon the sum of one hundred pounds
upon trust that the said Vicar and Wardens shall invest the same and that
they and their successors in office shall apply the annual
income arising there from in keeping in repair the graves of my father
and mother in Santan Churchyard and in any year in which the said
income is not required to is more than sufficient for that purpose the
said Vicar and Wardens shall apply the same or the unexpended portion
thereof for the benefit of the poor of the parish of Santan.
I bequeath to the trustees of the Finch Hill Congregational Church in the
said borough of Douglas the sum of five hundred pounds in aid of the
Endowment Fund of such church and I declare that the receipt of the said
trustees shall be a good discharge to my executors for the payment of
the said legacy.
I bequeath to Nobles Isle of Man Hospital and Dispensary the sum of two
hundred pounds and I declare that the receipt of the treasurer of the said
institution shall be a good discharge to my executors for the payment of the
said legacy.
I bequeath to the Douglas Branch of the British and Foreign Bible Society
the sum of two hundred pounds and I declare that the receipt of the
treasurer of the said branch shall be a good discharge to my executors
for the payment of the said legacy.
I bequeath to the Reverend David Inglis B. A. Minister of Finch Hill
Congregational Church aforesaid the sum of one hundred pounds and to Thomas
Mackenzie M.D. of Sydney Mount in the said borough of Douglas
the sum of one hundred pounds.
I devise and bequeath all the real and personal estate (save as hereinbefore
disposed of) of or to which I shall at my death be seised possessed or
entitled or over which I shall have any power of disposition
or appointment by will unto the said William Todhunter and Llewellyn Stanley
Kneale To Hold to them and the survivor of them and the heirs executors and
administrators of the survivor upon trust that they or the survivor of them
or the executors or administrators of the survivor or other the person or
persons for the time being acting under the trusts of this my will
(hereinafter referred to as my trustees) shall sell, call in, collect ,or
otherwise convert into money the said real and personal
estate at such time or times and in such manner as my trustees shall think
fit and so that my trustees shall have the fullest power and discretion to
postpone the sale, calling in collection, and conversion of
the whole or any part or parts of the said real and personal estate during
such period as my trustees shall think proper without being responsible
for loss and shall out of the moneys to arise from the sale, calling in,
collection and conversion of or forming part of my real and personal estate
pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and the legacies there in
before bequeathed and the duly of any on the said
legacies and shall divide  the balance of the said moneys equally
amongst my four nieces Catherine Moore, Kezia Eastbourne, Miriam
Barker and Annie Maria Parkinson if they all shall be living at my death
but if they are not all living at my death then amongst such of my said
nieces as shall be living at my death and the child or children then living
of any of my said nieces who may have died in my lifetime leaving a
child or children but so that such child or children shall take (and in the
case of children equally between them) the share or shares which his her or
their deceased parent or parents would if living at my death have
taken.
I declare that any property to which any female shall become entitled under
this my will shall be for her sole and separate use independently
of any husband and of his debts control and engagements.
I also declare that any trustee acting under this my will who is an
advocate or solicitor shall be entitled to make and received all such
charges for work done by him or his ------ in relation to the execution
of the trusts of this my will as he would have been entitled to make and
reserve in respect of such work had he not been a trustee.

nine hundred eight.

Know all men by these presents that I Kezia Eastbourne of No 7 Frederick
Street Princess Square Launceston in Tasmania(Australia) widow do hereby own
and acknowledge that I have examined an account (which is
now produced to and signed by me) of William Todhunter and Llewellyn Stanley
Kneale executors of the will of Hannah Maria Moore late of N. 4 Salisbury
Terrace in the borough of Douglas in the Isle of Man spinster deceased
(which will bears date the sixteenth day of April 1908 and was proven on the
first day of October 1908) and that I find the said account correct and I
also hereby acknowledge that I have received from the said William Todhunter
and Llewllyn Stanley Kneale the sum of one thousand four hundred and forty
two pounds six shillings and five pence being one fourth part of the residue
of the estate of the said Hannah Maria Moore deceased as shown by the said
account and to which I am entitled under the said will.
And in consideration thereof I that said Kezia Eastbourne do hereby release
and discharge the said William Todhunter and Llewellyn Stanley Kneale and
each of them and the estate of the said Hannah Maria Moore decease from all
actions accounts claims and demands whatsoever for or on account or in
respect of the estate of the said Hannah Maria Moore deceased or of the
income and profits thereof or of any part thereof respectively or any act
deed matter or thing whatseover done or omitted to be done by the said
William Todhunter and Llewellyn Stanley Kneale or either of them or in about
the execution of the will of the said Hannah Maria Moore deceased or in
anywise relating to the premises.
In witness whereof I the said Kezia Eastbourne have hereunto subscribed my
name this twelfth day of July one thousand nine hundred and nine.

We the undersigned next of kin of Hannah Maria Moore late of No 4 Salisbury
Terrace in the borough of Douglas spinster who died on or
about the 18th day of Sep 1908 leaving a will in writing dated the 16th
day of April 1908 whereof she appointed William Todhunter  of Woodside
Terrace in the said borough of Douglas  -Justice of the Peace - and
Llewellyn Stanley Kneal of Atholl Street in  the said borough of Douglas
-  Advocate - executors hereby authorize Louis Constantine Kewley, Advocate,
or any person authorized by him to appear for us at any court after this
date and consent to Probate of the said will being granted to
the said William Todhunter and LLewellyn Stanley Kneal.
This 2nd day of October 1908
