This is the last will and testament of me John Moore of Number 11
(eleven) Demesne Road in the Borough of Douglas in the IOM retired Engineer.
I hereby revoke all former wills and testamentary writings by me at anytime
heretofore made and do declare this only to be my last will and testament.
I nominate and appoint my nephew John Henry Moore at present residing
at Number 3 (three ) Hope Terrace New Brighton in the county of Cheshire
England Joiner and Robert Moore of Ballacurry in the parish of Santon IOM
farmer executors of this my will.
I leave and bequeath the Japanese Handpainted Portrait of myself and
Gold Frame and also my Silver watch (Hornby Maker) to my said nephew John
Henry Moore.  I leave and bequeath my stainless silver watch
(Russell Makers) and chain to my nephew Allen Moore son of my sister
Catherine Moore.
I leave devise and bequeath the whole of my Real Estate and the rest residue
and remainder of my personal estate to which I shall be in any manner be
entitled or possessed at the time of my decease unto the said John Henry
Moore and Robert Moore who and the survivor of them and their heirs
executors administrators and assigns of such survivor are hereinafter
included in the expression "my trustees" Upon Trust to sell, call in,
collect, and convert into money my said Real Estate and such
portion of the said residue of my personal estate as shall not consist of
money at such time or times and in such manner as my Trustees shall think
fit and so that my trustees shall have the fullest power and descretion to
postpone the sale call in, collection, or conversion of the whole or any
part or parts of the said premises during such period as my trustees shall
think proper without being answerable or responsible for loss and as to the
proceeds of such sale calling in collection and
conversion together with such portion of the said residue of my personal
estate as shall consist of money after payment thereout of my debts funeral
and testamentary expenses In trust for my trustees to pay thereout  the
following legacies which I hereby bequeath namely:
To the  said Robert Moore one of my trustees the sum of twenty pounds and to
Robert Cretney Senior of the Number 4 Murray's Road in the said borough of
Douglas Blacksmith the sum of ten pounds and I further trust after payment
of the above legacies of my trustees to retain thereout the sum of thirty
pounds such sum to be wholly expended by them in placing a Rushion Granite
Tombstone and a free stone curbing and railing upon the grave wherein I
shall be buried and also for my trustees to
retain thereout a further sum of twenty pounds and invest the same in good
security and to expend the interest arising there from annually in keeping
in a state of perfect order and thorough repair the grave wherein
I shall be buried and if there be a balance of such interest remaining
over to expend the same in keeping in a state of good order and repair the
family graves of the Moores formerly of Sulbrick in the parish of Santan,
but in case my trustees shall fail for a period of ten consecutive years
to carry out the above trust respecting the said  grave then and in that
case the said sum of twenty pounds shall be paid over to the Vicar and
Wardens of the parish of Santon to be applied by them as they shall think
proper for the benefit of the Poor of the said Parish of Santon.
And as to the balanced of the said proceeds and money In trust for my
Trustees to pay over the same to the following persons and in the
following proportions or shares namely Five sixteenths thereof to my
said nephew John Henry Moore, five sixteenths thereof to my said nephew
Allen Moore One sixteenth thereof to each of my nephews Fred Godfrey,John
Godfrey, and James Benjamin Godfrey, and my nieces Lily
May Godfrey and Hilda Mona Shannon wife of John H. Shannon at present
in India all children of my sister Margaret Godfrey of New Brighton in
the said County of Cheshire in the case of the said Hilda Mona Shannon her
receipt in writing to be a sufficient discharge to my trustees and the
remaining one sixteenth thereof to my nephew John Edward Moore son of my
brother Edward Robert Moore at present residing in Christ Church Canterbury
New Zealand.
And I direct that any benefits which any female shall become entitled
under this my will shall be for her own sole and separate use free from
the debts controls and engagements of any present or future husband she may
have.
In witness where I the said John Moore have hereunto subscribe my name this
twenty fifth day of January one thousand nine hundred and nine. John Moore
