The humble petition of Stanley Cowley of No 7 Clarence Terrace in the
borough of Douglas Boarding House Keeper
Sheweth as follows:
1. Your petitioner's late wife Harriett Eleanor Cowley (sometimes described
as Harriet Elenor Cowley) departed this life on the 29th day of November
1911 intestate possessed of certain personal estate and her separate use.
2. It is necessary that representation should be set up to the personal
estate of the deceadant.
Where your petitioner humbly prays a hearing hereof and that your
Honour may be pleased to grant Letters of Administration of the personal
estate of the said Harriett Eleanor Cowley deceased unto petitioner's son
Thomas Henry Cowley of North Quay in the borough of Douglas - Commission
Agent - or to some other fit and proper person with such other relief as is
meet. And your petitioner will ever pray. C.H Gawne

In the matter of the petition of Stanley Cowley for administration of the
estate of Harriet Eleanor Cowley deceased to Thomas Henry Cowley.
We the undersigned being next of kin of the late Harriett Eleanor Cowley
do hereby admit that we have received notice that the above application will
be heard at a court to be held at Castletown on Monday the 18th December
1911 at 11:30 AM.
And we do hereby authorize the bearer hereof to appear on our behalf and
consent to a grant of administration to Thomas Henry Cowley.
As witness our names hereto this 13th day of December 1911.
