Mary Anne Hudson Malew 1913 #162 The humble petition of William James Hudson of 66 St James Place in the city of Liverpool Furniture dealer. Sheweth: 1. Your petitioner's late aunt the said Mary Ann Hudson deceased departed this life on or about the 28th day of March 1911 at 50 Malew Street aforesaid having on the 14th day of January 1911 executed her last will and testament whereof she appointed William Henry Boyde executor. 2. Shortly before her death the said Mary Ann Hudson destroyed her said will and at a court holden at Castletown upon the 8th day of May 1911 the said William Henry Boyde presented his petition for probate of the said will as contained in a draft thereof procluded and at a further setting of the said court holden at Castletown upon the 17th day of July 1911 it was ordered that the question of fact arising in this proceedings be tried by a special jury before the court. 3. The said matter came on for hearing at a court holden at Castletown on the 14th day of December 1911 when the sad jury brought in a verdict in favour of the said copy of a will and thereupon your honor granted probate thereof to the said William Henry Boyde. 4. You petitioner on the 2nd day of May 1912 presented his appeal to your honor and such appeal was duly accepted on the 16th day of May 1912 upon the terms therein stated. 5. You petitioner on the 4th day of November 1912 presented his appeal to the Staff of Government Division which said appeal came on for hearing and was duly heard upon the 22nd day of November 1912 when judgement was reserved. 6. The said Staff of Government Division upon the 7th day of May 1913 delivered their judgement in the matter setting aside the said grant of probate to the said William Henry Boyde and in effect declaring that the said Mary Ann Hudson died intestate. 7. You petitioner is the heir at law and one of the next of kin of the said Mary Ann Hudson deceased and is desirous of obtaining a grant of Letters of Administration of the personal estate and effects of the said Mary Ann Hudson deceased. Wherefore your petitioner humbly prays a hearing hereof and that your honor may be pleased to grant Letters of Administration of the personal estate and effects of the said Mary Ann Hudson deceased to your petitioner with such other and further relief as is meet and your petitioner will ever pray. Know all men by these presents that we William James Hudson of 66 St James Place in the city of Liverpool Boat Merchant, William Corrin of 37 Ralew Street Castletown Painter are jointly and severally and any two of us jointly bound unto our Sovereign Lord the King in the sum of Two hundred pounds to the payment whereof well and truly be made to our said Lord the King, his heirs and successors, we bind and oblige ourselves jointly and severally, and any two of us jointly, our executors and administrators, firmly by these presents. As witness our subscriptions the ---- day of ---- in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen. The condition of our obligation is such, that if the William James Hudson who seeks to obtain Letters of Administration of all and singular the personal estate and effects of Mary Ann Hudson late of 50 Malew Street in the town of Castletown but now deceased, who died on or about the 28th day of March 1911 at 50 Malew Street aforesaid, do, when lawfully called on in that behalf, make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the personal estate and effects of the said deceased; which have or shall come into his hands, possession or knowlege, or into the hands of any other person for him and the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, into the proper Registry in that behalf whenever required by law so to do: And the same personal estate and effects and all other personal estate and effects of the said deceased, which shall at any time come into the hands or possession of the Administrator into the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him or which without default might have come into the hands or possession of the Adminsitrator, do well and truly administer according to law, that is, to say, do pay the debts and liabilities of the said deceased so far as the said personal estate will extend and the law bind the Administrator, and to deliver and pay unto the person or persons legally entitled thereof all the rest and residue of the said personal estate and effects then this obligation to be void and of no effect, or else to remain in full force and virtue.
