This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Qualtrough of
Strandhall farmer in the parish of Rushen, farmer.
I do hereby revoke and cancel every former will by me heretofore made.
I give and bequeath the following legacies to be paid with all convenient
speed after my decease namely:
To my daughter Elizabeth Qualtrough the sum of four hundred pounds.
To my daughter Emily, wife of John Nelson Cubbon, two hundred and fifty
pounds for her own sole and separate use, free from the control of her
husband, or any liability to his debts and obligation.
To my son Richard Qualtrough the sum of fifty pounds.
To my grandson Walter Thomas Gorry the sum of forty pounds.
I leave and bequeath my household furniture and effects in equal shares
between my two daughters Isabella Gorry and Elizabeth Qualtrough share and
share alike.
I leave and bequeath the whole of my farming stock (live and dead) crop and
implements together with the unexpired term of the lease of Strandhall farm
aforesaid to my daughter Isabella and her husband John James Gorry.  And I
do hereby appoint my said son in law John James
Gorry sole executor of this my will.  As witness my name hereto this
10th day of May 1911.                 Thomas Qualtrough.

in the parish of Rushen, Farmer, Henry Bridson of Kentraugh in the parish of
Rushen Farmer, and John Cubbon of Balladolle in the parish
of Arbory Farmer]

The humble petition of Elizabeth Qualtrough spinster and of John James Gorry
and Isabella his wife of Strandhall in the parish of Rushen.
Sheweth:  That Thomas Qualtrough late of Strandhall in the parish of Rushen,
Farmer, father of your petitioners Elizabeth Qualtrough and Isabella Gorry
died on the 25 February 1914 having first duly made his
last will dated the 10th May 1911 of which he appointed your petitioner John
James Gorry executor.
That it is necessary that the said will should be proved.
That the next of kin of the said Thomas Qualtrough in this island are his
son Richard Qualtrough of Ballcregeen Arbory and his daughters your
petitioners Elizabeth Qualtrough and Isabella Gorry.
Wherefore your petitioner humbly pray a hearing thereof and that probate of
the said will may be granted to our petitioner John James Gorry and
that they may have such other relief as is meet and they will pray.
