The humble petition of Mark Hildesley Quayle , Emily Quayle, and the
Reverend Daniel Fleming Wilson Quayle.
Sheweth as follows:
1. George Harrington Quayle of Bridge House Castletown advocate died there
on the 13th day of March 1914 having first duly made his last will and
testament dated the 20th day of November 1899 whereof he appointed your
petitioner Mark Hildesley Quayle executor.
2. It is necessary that the said will should be proved.
3. The next of kin of the said George Harrington Quayle in this island are
your petitioners.
Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray a hearing hereof and that
probate of the said will may be granted to your petitioner Mark Hildesley
Quayle and that they may have such other relief as is meet and they will
pray. James S. Gill
In the goods of George Harrington Quayle late of Bridge House in the town of
Castletown, advocate, deceased.
Know all men by these presents that we Mark Hildesley Quayle of Bridge House
Castletown Esquire, Daniel Fleming Wilson Quayle of Bridge House aforesaid
Clerk in Holy Orders and James Stowell Gell of Castletown, advocate, are
jointly and severally and any two of us jointly bound unto
our Sovereign Lord the King in the sum of two thousand five hundred pounds
to the payment whereof well and truly to be paid to our said Lord the King,
his heirs and successors, we bind and oblige ourselves jointly
and severally, and any two of us jointly, our Executors and
Administrators, firmly by these presents.
As witness our subscriptions the 23rd day of March in the year of Our Lord
one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.
The condition of our obligation is such that if the Mark Hildesley Quayle
who seeks to obtain a grant of Probate of the last will and testament of
George Harrington Quayle advocate late of Bridge house in the Town of
Castletown but now deceased, who died on or about the 15th day of
March 1914, at Bridge House Castletown aforesaid do, when lawfully
called on in that behalf, make or cause to be made a true and perfect
inventory of all and singular the personal estate and effects of the said
deceased; which have or shall come into his hands, possession or knowledge
or into the hands of any other person for him and the same so made do
exhibit, or cause to be exhibited into the proper Registry in that behalf
whenever required by law so to do: And at the same personal estate and
effects of the said deceased, which shall at any time into the hands or
possession of the Executor, or into the hands or possession of any other
person or persons for him or which without default might have come into the
hands or possession of the executor, do well and truly administer according
to law, that is to say, do pay the debts and
liabilities of the said decease so far as the said personal estate will
extend and the law bind the Executor, then this obligation to be void and
of no effect, or else to remain in full force and virtue.

I George Harrington Quayle of the town of Castletown advocate do hereby
revoke all or any former will or wills heretofore made by me and do
declare this to be my last will and testament.
I leave and bequeath to my sister Sarah Katherine Quayle the sum of one
hundred pounds sterling to my sister Emily Quayle the sum of one
hundred pounds sterling to my brother Daniel Fleming Wilson Quaye the
sum of one hundred pounds sterling to my sister Mary Burns Lindow the sum of
fifty pounds sterling and to my sister Edith Tomlin the sum of
fifty pounds sterling.
I leave and bequeath to each servant who is in the employ at Bridge
House at the time of my death the sum of ten pounds each provided that they
have been in such employ for a period of over two years.
I leave and bequeath to my brother Mark Hildesley Quayle the whole of
the residue of my property real and personal including Bridge House,
Ballachurry, intacks and Glashin together with any and all shares may be
possessed at the time of my decease for his own use after payment of
my just debts funeral expences and the above mentioned legacies requesting
him also to confirm with my wishes contained in a private
letter herewith addressed to him. And I do hereby appoint the said Mark
Hildesley Quayle sole executor or this my will.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this twentieth
day of November one thousand eight hundred and ninety nine.
