This is the last will and Testament
of me Annie Creer of No 12 North
Quay in the borough of
Douglas spinster.
I revoke all wills and testamentary
dispositions heretofore made by me
and I appoint Thomas William
Creer of No 12 North Quay aforesaid
seed merchant executor hereof.
I bequeath to my sister Jane
Shimmin the sum of twenty
pounds.
I bequeath to Anna Creer wife
of the said Thomas William Creer
the sum of ten pounds
I devise and bequeath all
the real and personal estate whatsoever
and wheresoever of or to which
I shall at the time of my
death be seized possessed or
entitled or over which I shall
have a power of appointment or
disposition by Will unto Ivy
Averilda Creer and Evelyn Gertrude
Creer daughters of the said Thomas
William Creer and their heirs
executors administrators and
assigns in equal shares but
subject nevertheless to the
payment of my funeral and
testamentary expenses and debts
and the legacies hereinbefore
bequeathed and if only one of
them the said Ivy Averilda
Creer and Evelyn Gertrude Creer
be living at my death I
devise and bequeath the said
real and personal estate to such
one and her heirs executors
administrators and assigns.
And I hereby declare that every
gift or disposition by this my
will made to or in favour of a
female shall be for her sole or
separate use independently of any
husband and of his debts control
and engagements and her receipt
alone notwithstanding coverture
shall be a good discharge for
any moneys paid to her.

subscribed this twenty fourth day of
April one thousand nine
hundred and fourteen.

Know all men by these presents
that Jane Shimmin wife of
Thomas Shimmin on No 7 Christian
Road in the borough of Douglas
bootmaker doth hereby own
and acknowledge to have received
from Thomas William Creer of
No 12 North Quay in the borough
of Douglas seedmerchant executor
of the will of Annie Creer late
of No12 North Quay aforesaid
spinster deceased who died
on the twenty seventh day
of May 1914 and probate of
whose will dated the twenty
fourth day of April 1914 was
on the sixteenth day of
November 1914 granted to the
said Thomas William Creer
the sum of twenty pounds
being the amount of a legacy
bequeathed to the said Jane
Shimmin by the said Annie
Creer by her said will.
And in consideration thereof
the said Jane Shimmin doth
hereby release and discharge
the said Thomas William Creer
as such executor as aforesaid
and the estate of the said Annie
Creer deceased from all
actions accounts claims and
demands whatsoever for or
on account or in respect
of the said legacy.
