Maughold 1915 124 This is the last will and testament of me Jane Hampton of Ballasaig in the parish of Maughold widow which I make publish and declare in form and manner following, that is to say: I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Jane Howarth the sum of ten pounds. I give devise and bequeath to my son James Hampton of Ramsey Grocer a small dwelling house and premises to me belonging situate at Ballasaig aforesaid. And as to the residue of my real and personal estates where ever the same may be situate and by whatever name known after payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses I give devise and bequeath the same to my son Joseph Hampton to hold to him and his heirs and assigns absolutely. And I nominate constitute and appoint my said son Joseph Hampton sole executor of this my will hereby revoking all former wills made by me and declaring this only to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this twenty seventy day of February one thousand nine hundred and six 1906. Jane Hampton my x mark Signed published and declared by the testatrix as and for her last will and testament in our presence who at her request in her presence and in presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witness. Fergusson At a District Probate Session held at Ramsey on the 17th day of May 1915 The annexed paper writing dated the 27 day of Feb 1906 having been proved to be the last will and testament of Jane Brough Hampton late of Ballasaig in the parish of Maughold widow deceased who died on the 27th day of January 1915 at Ballasaig aforesaid. Joseph Hampton also of Ballasaig aforesaid farmer, a son of the testatrix, the executor named therein is sworn well and truly to fulfil and execute the same and to administer the personal estate of the said deceased according to law. Will of Jane Brough Hampton late of Ballasaig in the parish of Maughold widow Know all men by these presents that we Joseph Hampton of Ballasaig in the said parish farmer, John Robert Fergusson of Ramsey, accountant, and James Hampton of Ramsey, Grocer, are jointly and severally and any two of us jointly bound unto our Sovereign Lord the King in the sum of Two hundred pounds (200) to the payment whereof well and truly to be made to our said Lord the King, his heirs and successors, we bind and oblige ourselves jointly and severally any two of us jointly, our Executors and Administrators, firmly by these presents. As witness our subscriptions the 17th day of May in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen. The condition of our obligation is such that if the above named Joseph Hampton (hereinafter called "the executor") who seek to obtain a grant of Probate of the last will and testament of Jane Brough Hampton (in such will called Jane Hampton) late of Ballasaig aforesaid but now deceased, who died at Ballasaig aforesaid on or about the 27th day of January 1915 do, when lawfully called on in that behalf, make or caused to made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the personal estate and effects of the said deceased which have or shall come into his hands possession, or knowledge, or into the hands of any other person for him and the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, into the proper Registry in that behalf whenever required by law so to do: And the same personal estate and effects of the said deceased which shall at any time come into the hands or possession of the Executor, or into the hands of any other person or persons for him or which without default might have come into the hands or possession of the executor, do well and truly administer according to law, that is to say, do pay the debts and liabilities of the said deceased so far as the said personal estate will extend and the law bind the Executor, then this obligation to be void and of no effect or else to remain in full force and virtue.
