The humble Petition of Thomas
Edward Creer of
No 3 S. Thomas’s Walk
in the borough of Douglas
plumber
Sheweth as follows:
John Creer late of No 33 Hope
Street and formerly of No 2
Back Hope Street in the borough
of Douglas licensed porter
died on or about the 13th day of November 1919 leaving
a Will in writing bearing date the 7th day of March 1918
whereof he appointed your petitioner executor
Wherefore your petitioner humbly pray
a hearing hereof and that your Honor may be
pleased to grant Probate of the said Will
to your petitioner
and your petitioner
will ever pray etc etc

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a court to be
holden at Douglas on Monday the 1st day of
December 1919 at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon whereof
all proper parties and person to have due notice.

This is the last will and testament of me
John Creer on Number 2 Back Hope Street
Douglas Isle of Man.
I revoke all other wills and testamentary
writings heretofore made by me.
I bequeath to my sister in law Mary Ann Creer
of Number 2 Back Hope Street, Douglas the sum
of thirty pounds in trust to hold the same
for the used and benefit of my great niece
Florence Callister of 2, Back Hope Street
aforesaid with full power to the said Mary
Ann Creer to spend and use up the said
sum of thirty pounds for the benefit of the
said Florence Callister in the way in which
the said Mary Ann Creer may in her own
absolute discretion think fit and proper.
And I declare that the receipt of the said Mary
Ann Creer for the said sum of thirty pounds
shall be a full and sufficient discharge to
my executors therefore.
The said Mary Ann Creer shall have power
to invest the said trust estate from time
to time with liberty to alter and change the
nature of the securities in which the same
may be invested and to receive the income
thereof and to use both principal and income
at her own discretion for the benefit of the
said Florence Callister.
I leave and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder
of my real and personal estate to my nephew
Thomas Edward Creer, my nephew William
Robert Creer, my niece Catherine Creer (known as Dolly)
my half brother George Clague Jordan and
Catherine Jordan daughter of the said George
Clague Jordan and my said sister in law Mary
Ann Creer to be divided equally between them
or to the others or other of them living at my death.
And I appoint my said nephew Thomas
Edward Creer to be executor of this my will.
And I declare that all legacies hereinbefore
bequeathed to females under this my will
shall be for the sole and separate use of such
female respectively and free from the debts
and marital control of any husband they
may have and the respective receipts of such
females for such legacy to them under this
will shall be a sufficient release and discharge
to my executor for their respective legacies.
In witness whereof I have hereunto
subscribed my name this seventh day of
March One thousand nine hundred and
eighteen.
