The Manx Lawsons & Related Families

Welcome to the home page of Brian Lawson, an expatriate Manxman now residing in Western Canada. While the site is mainly intended to document the history of the Lawson and related families on the Isle of Man, some other information has been included that I hope will be of interest to all researchers of Manx genealogy. The web site is divided into the following sections:

• Births - an Index of Registered Births is being constructed for the period 1850-1925.
• Dissenting Baptisms 1817 - 1849
• Marriages - an Index of Marriages is being constructed for the period 1884-1923.
• Burials - an Index of Burials as recorded in the IoM FHS publications is available.
• Wills - some notes and an Index of Wills and Decrees for the period 1630-1920 is available. Some of these have been transcribed and are so indicated in the index. The latest additions are also listed separately. Further submissions are welcome.
