The Legion Towers, a 12 story concrete building, was opened in 1974  and consists of bachelor, one and two bedroom suites. The 89 suites are intended for seniors of low income and are eligible for rent subsidies from the provincial government. Its proximity to the city centre and the new seniors complex makes it a convenient location for our residents.

Suite sizes vary, but all have fully equipped kitchens and full bathrooms. Living rooms and bedrooms are carpeted and some suites have balconies.

Monthly rental rate for a bachelor suite is $420; one bedroom ranges from $450 to $485; two bedroom ranges from $525 to $560. Those eligible for government rental subsidy only pay 30% of their income for rent. For example, if your monthly income is $1,000, your rent would be $300 per month; income of $1200 would equate to a rent of $360 per month.  All rental rates include heat and light; cablevision is $22 extra.
