QUATERNARY GEOLOGY

Geological Survey of Canada Bulletin 583 will be released 1 May 2008. This details the results of a 4 year study of the surficial geology and Quaternary history of the Alberta Foothills between Turner Valley and the Montana border. It can be downloaded for free (instructions below) or ordered as a CD-ROM for $7 from Geological Survey of Canada bookstores.

This is how to download the Bulletin 583:

1. Go to the Geological Survey of Canada download site

2. From there click on "Search" and in the "Search" box type "583"

3. In "Category" choose "Series number"

4. In "Year" choose 2007 in the left box and 2008 in right box

5. Click on GeoPub Search button

6. Follow the download instructions
