The RAD syllabus originates
from England and is currently taught in over 50 countries
worldwide. The RAD syllabus is versatile offering excellent
training for both the professional and the recreational
ballet student. The classical ballet grades, which include
free movement work and character dance, are designed
to promote proper body alignment and include developmentally
appropriate exercises. Grade assessments and examinations
are given by RAD examiners and held at the studio on
completion of each grade's work. Although annual examinations
are not compulsory, exams give students a sense of achievement
and allow an opportunity for constructive feedback.
Teachers will advise students when they are ready for
exams. |
