Since 1973, the choir Les Échos du Pacifique has been promoting French-Canadian culture through singing in Maillardville (Coquitlam), B.C. We are a 4-voice (SATB) choir open to francophones and francophiles who enjoy singing.

Rehearsals and auditions
Our rehearsals take place on Monday evenings from 7pm to 9pm at the Centre Bel-Âge in Place Maillardville (1200 Cartier Avenue in Coquitlam, across the street from Our Lady of Lourdes church in Laval Square). Our rehearsals are done in French. Although most of our repertoire is French, we do some pieces in English and other languages.

If you have musical training, read choral music scores, and have experience in choral singing, we appreciate these abilities. However, they are not prerequisites to join our choir! If you would like to sing with Les Échos du Pacifique, our conductor will be pleased to offer you a short audition consisting of vocal warm-up exercises (to assess your technique and vocal range) as singing a well as a well-known tune and trying some sight reading.
We hope your participation in our choir will help develop the quality of your singing, as well as your musical ear, as you hear others singing your own part and harmonize with the other voices. In return, we appreciate singers who demonstrate open-mindedness, curiosity, patience, perseverance, and openness to constructive criticism.
