Ephesians 2:1-22

In verse 13 Paul tells us that we have been made near to God by the blood of Christ. The law has never drawned anyone near to God. The works of men, religion and what have you have never brought anyone near to God. It was the unconditional love of God through the shed blood of Jesus that have brought the entire world near to God. It hasn't been our believing, our confession, nor any of our performance that have drawned us near to God. Only the shed blood of Jesus has been able to do such a thing.

As both Jews and Gentiles we were far off from God. It was the law of Moses that kept us all at a distance. It took the blood of Christ to blot out the ordinances and sacrificial dead works of the law. We were all redeemed form the curse of the law by Christ becoming a curse for us all. Religion teaches us that we are made near to God by a set of rules of do's and don't. Thus leading many into the performance trap of man made self-righteous doctrines. Now that the whole world has been made near to God by the blood of Christ, Paul tells us in verse 14 that Jesus has also become our peace.

If Jesus has become our peace through the shedding of blood, then how can anyone say that God is still dealing with man according to their sins? Wouldn't that make Him an angry God? There is no anger where there is peace. There is no conditions where there is love. It was the peace of God that made one family out of two. Jews and Gentiles aren't seen as two families anymore. Christ's blood brought us all near to God. Christ's peace has made us all one. Christ's death moved God to take the written law in ink and carved in stone (ten commandments) and break it into two. The only thing that stands between man and God is the blood of Jesus, and the peace of Jesus.

There is no war between God and man anymore. God is not dealing with anyone according to their sins and He is no longer angry with anyone. There aren't two families anymore. There is no longer division between man and God. There is nothing in the middle. We are now to the right hand of the Father in Christ. It was the shed blood of Christ that made us all one. The work of the cross is a completed work. There is nothing left to be added or deleted. It was the law of Moses that stood between God and man and the blood of Jesus took it out of the way and nailed the law to the cross. The law and all of it's demanding perfect works were crucified to the body of Christ.

This is great news. You won't get this type of teaching from today's Evangelical greedy, manipulating, lying and controlling pulpit. Today's, and tomorrow's pulpit will continue to tell you that you are made near to God by your deeds, and their religious doctrines. The word "abolished" in verse 15 means to do away with. Jesus did away with the law in the death of His own body. It was the law that gave sin its strength. When Jesus abolished the law He took the strength of sin away. Notice that Jesus fulfilled the entire law according t verse 15. He not only fulfilled the law of ordinances and commandments, but He also fulfilled the psalms and prophets.

The "Peter Wagner's" and the "Jerry Jenkin's" will have you believe that the law and 10 commandments have not been fully abolished in the body of Christ, but that's because they don't really believe nor fully understand the meaning of shed blood. They are still trusting in the blood of bulls. They might as well wash themselves in "Malt Liquor Bull" or with "Manure Bull." They are trying to clean themselves up with filthy rags. Thank God that Jesus blood made one out of two. Friends, the "Promise Breakers" (Keepers) don't keep us close to God. The "Purpose Driven Life" book and its legalistic baseball metaphor teaching won't bring us near to God. The only thing all of these groups and puffed up preachers do, is divide and drive people from God.

Their message and doctrine is nothing but deadly legalism. As long as man continues to believe that it is their performance, their works, their laws, rules, regulations and morality that draws them near to God, they will continue to trample all over the shed blood of the lamb thus putting their works above the perfect work of the cross. Shame on all of these men who continue to pervert the message of God's grace and make the blood of Christ of no significance. Christianity is no doubt a cult. They do not unite. They divide. They are still trying to erect the middle partition and put the law in place of the cross. They continue to insult the "Spirit of Grace." Shame on them!

To be continued....
