Romans 5:1-21
Now, as we move on to chapter 5 of Romans and verse 1 Paul continues
with yet another "therefore." Without verse 25 of Romans chapter 4,
verse 1 of Romans chapter 5 doesn't really hit home. "Therefore
being justified by faith (His faith not ours) we have peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ". The question that should be
asked is: "Why do we have peace with God?' The answer is found in verse
25 of Romans chapter 4 "Because Jesus was given up to be crucified
for our offenses and was raised from the dead for our justification."
Friends, now that we have been justified by the faith of Christ,
what is it that we have with God? Does it say that God is still angry
with us? Is God still unleashing His wrath upon the human race? What
was it that produced wrath? Was it not the law? What did it take to
bring peace between God and man? Was it not the blood of Jesus? How
many were forgiven through the shed blood of Jesus? What was it that
the law could not take away? For how many was the blood of Jesus shed?
How many were justified? How many were made righteous? How many were
forgiven?
How were we justified? Was it our believing that justified us? Was it
because we kept the law? Was it our good deeds? How can God be angry
with us, now that the blood of Jesus has been shed for the sins of the
whole world and the claims of justice have been satisfied before the
throne of grace? Why is the Evangelical Pulpit still judging people
for wrong, and continue to preach hell, fire and brimstone by telling
people that God is still angry with them, when God says that there is
now peace between Him and man through the blood of Christ?
Is God a double tongue, double promise, double minded Lord and Savior?
Somebody is suffering from schizophrenia and it isn't God. In chapter
5 Paul is pretty much narrowing it all down to "Listen, you who
are still pointing out people's faults. You who are just as guilty of
sin as those you accuse of being sinners. You who are still basing your
relationship with God through the dead works of the law. You who still
believe in circumcision. You who boast and brag about being special.
You who think that your stuff don't stink. You who think that have an
advantage with God. You who don't realize nor want to admit that all
have sinned and come short of the glory of God. You who are still trusting
in the law and setting aside the grace of God and like swine walk on
mud and trample over pearls. You who believe that God only favors you
and is casting others to hell. You who think that it is your believing
that has set you right with God. You who reject the blood of Jesus and
don't believe that God has justified all men and has imputed His righteousness
upon all.
You who are still at war with God, and trying to be pleasing to God
through your own self-righteous filthy rags. You who do not believe
that God justified and imputed righteousness upon Abraham apart from
the works of the law. You who say one thing and do another. You who
have your closets full of dead men's bones and eat out of an open sepulcher.
You who are two face religious hypocrites. You who do not believe nor
accept nor preach that God is now at peace with man through the final
shed blood at the cross.
You who do not believe that Jesus was offered as a final sacrifice for
all offenses and was raised from the dead unto life for the justification
of all men. Yes, I am talking to you Jews and Evangelical two face religious
hypocrites who continue to put people under fear, guilt and condemnation.
You who love to sit in Moses seat and judge people for doing wrong,
but can't see the two by four in your own eye. You who place great religious
demands of self-righteous works that are worthless in the eyes of God.
You who boast and put yourself above the finished work of the cross
and go around showing off your own righteousness by leading people to
think that you are holier than thou. You who continue to insult the
Spirit of Grace by continuing to trust in your own works. You who think
that your works is what gains you with God. Yes, I am talking to you
Jews and you Gentiles of the Evangelical Church that are still preaching
a doctrine of demons and witchcraft. You who are still telling people
that it is their tithing, their praying, their fasting, their gifts,
their prophecies, their confession that keeps them right with God.
I am talking to you liars. You false preachers, teachers, and so called
evangelist's who are still mixing law and grace. My message to you is
this: "Therefore being justified by His faith, we have PEACE with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ; By whom also we have access by His faith
into His grace wherein we stand and rejoice in the hope of the glory
of God." Friends, if there was ever a time to STAND and REJOICE
it is right now after you have finished reading this article. This is
as good as it gets and it doesn't get any better than this. "GOD IS
AT PEACE WITH THE WHOLE WORLD!" Luke 2:14
