Bill Not Too Bright

This is what "Bill-not too-Bright," so called founder of Campus Crusade For Christ said: "As long as you have breath, God COMMANDS YOU to praise Him, and He also has something for you to do." He then goes on to recommend that people get the exciting finale to the best selling "Left Behind" series- "Glorious Appearing" by LaHaye and Jenkins. Save your money or go see a movie or have a nice lunch.

My questions to Mr. Bright are: "What if we don't obey His command to praise Him?" "What if we don't believe that He has anything more for us to do?" "What if we just simply believe and accept that by grace Christ has done it all and that the command to praise Him has already been fulfilled in Jesus?" Now, here's the religious catch, deceptive manipulation and crafty insinuation that Mr. (not too) Bright is trying to place upon us as a guilt and fear trip.

"If you do not obey God's command to praise Him, and don't do the 'something' that He wants you to do, then more than likely you will not receive from God the things that you been asking of Him in prayer." When will all of these smooth religious catchy man made phrases that are often advertised by these religious charlatan's, stop? Never! These guys, as sincere and well meaning as they may appear, are experts in their field of finances.

These so called leaders of the Campus' Crusades For Christ organizations and many more like them could probably sell you a Camel. They are smooth religious salesmen. And what is it that they use to get you to buy their religious legalistic junk? They use out of context, old and new passages out of the bible to sell you their religious products. They are smooth operators. They leach and live out of your hard earned money, and they use guilt, fear and condemnation to get your attention.

These guys all work together as a religious money making franchise. They may use Christ and quote scriptures and testify how God has done this for them and for others because of them, but the majority of the money they make from their religious legalistic lying promotions goes into their pockets. Men like the LaHaye's, the Jerkin's and the Bright's have made a financial killing at the expense of many of us suckers who believe, buy and fall for their smooth operator selling lying religious propaganda.

I personally, (being one of them myself back in the days) believe that the greatest tool used to get people motivated to buy religious stuff, and get them to actually believe that what they are hearing and reading is true gospel, is by manipulating and deceiving (bombarding) their minds with fear, guilt and condemnation. It is the oldest selling trick in the book. The deception behind Mr. (not too) Bright is to get you to perform for God and lead you to think that God's response to you is based on how much you obey what He has commanded and what He would have you to do.

It is clearly obvious that the religious world has not wised up to any of these men's smooth operator religious manipulative tactics. These men are still casting their religious legalistic fishing hooks, and the people are still swallowing the deceptive worm on the hook along with the line, sinker and pole. Since the people have for years put these men above reproach and have highly esteemed them as being men of God, because of their obvious religious success in the Christian world, people will continue to believe that what these men are preaching is true Gospel.

I believe that these are the men that Paul often warned about "For is no surprise to me, that Satan would transform himself into an angel of light." Normally this passage used by Paul out of Corinthians is used to identify an unbeliever or a wicked person. But if we read it in context, Paul was identifying the religious, self-righteous, puffed up, holier than thou Jews that were out to deceive the people and pervert the Gospel.

Friends, the 'bright' thing to do is to look out for the "Bill Bright's" of the religious world. They will even sell you the gold out of their covered cavities in their teeth's if they can get you to believe that there's an anointing in them. Bill (not too) Bright has been around for a long time, and no doubt, like many other organizations like his, has contributed some good to society. But when it comes to the preaching of the Gospel, Mr. Bright hasn't been too bright.

Just remember this: "God will always love you whether you praise Him or don't do anything at all for Him." He has done it all for you in Christ because He knew you could not do it for yourself. The only thing that God requires of you is that you believe that He loves you and the entire world unconditionally, and as far as the East is from the West, the sins of the world He remembers no more. About the brightest thing you can ever live at peace with, is that it is "Christ, Minus You, Plus Nothing." Thank You Jesus!

Grace N Peace
