I got on a chat line this last week and gave my website address for
people to visit. This morning as I was checking my e-mail a young lady
who is a strong supporter of Morality Queen "Sandy Rios,"
found my website to be anti-Christian. In an attempt to answer many
of her angry accusations, she blocked me out and refused to accept my
response.
The young lady, like many others, hit me up on the topic of "Gay
Marriages." She also mentioned the "Hollywood Blvd."
and "Santa Monica" streets of California. Her beef with me,
and probably with others like me is that she cannot for one-second accept
that these Heroin and prostituting young people of Hollywood Blvd. and
Santa Monica Blvd., who don't go to church, nor believe in Jesus can
possibly be forgiven of God.
According to this young lady, who signed her e-mail as "a Concerned
Young Lady," cannot for one-second believe that people who aren't
living a righteous life, and continue to live a heavy metal, drug out,
prostitution, porno, cheating, lying, killing, sinning, stealing, and
wicked lifestyle will be going to heaven.
I did however made an effort to explain to her that I am all for people
doing the right things and living a moral life for their own sake. There
has been many televised documentaries covering many City's of our Nation
and showing to the viewing public how many poverty stricken neighborhoods
have people from all nationalities and ages doing what many are doing
in the streets of Hollywood Blvd. and Santa Monica Blvd. in California.
Almost every single young and old person who are struggling with a Heroin,
crack and what have you problem have testified how they've been abused
as a child. Not all of them have been abused, but a good 75% of these
young and old people have been. These young people may use abuse as
an excuse to justify what they are doing, but to condemn them anymore
than what they feel they already are is not the religious wise thing
to do.
Granted, I wouldn't want my grandchildren living out in the streets
doing drugs, begging for money, selling their bodies and being addicted
to all sorts of things that is going to shortened their lives, affect
their health, their minds and famille's heart. I am not endorsing the
idea that is ok to live like a dog, do as you please, with whom you
please, and when you please because you are saved by grace apart from
any works. NO!
I believe that we all should demonstrate a sense of accountability and
responsibility both to ourselves and our fellow man, not to mention
the laws of the land that we live in. I don't think that any one of
us would allow a person addicted to drugs and what have you to just
walk into our homes and do as they please, and then not do anything
about the unwanted and unbecoming behavior and situation.
Most people would call the proper authorities if such a thing were to
take place in their homes without their knowledge and permission. Some
would even take the necessary action to deal with the problem. But what
bothers me is how many of these holier than thou religious people, sit
in Moses seat of judgment against all of these nationwide young people
who are strung out on drugs and what have you.
They take a legalistic message of condemnation, hell, fire and brimstone
to these young people's street territory, and after they are done with
them, they go home to their warm bed and food filled refrigerator, and
take pride in saying: "Today I went out and did The Lord's will
and told the sinners what will happen to them if they don't repent from
their wicked ways and believe in Jesus."
If these religious nuts are so concerned with the sins of so many down
and out City's Street gangs, prostitutes, drug addicts and what have
you, and believe that they are all going to hell for what they are doing,
then why don't they invite all of them to their homes and give them
something to eat, a place to sleep, provide them with money and take
them to a place to help them recover from their addictions?
I know about this type of hypocrisy because I lived it myself. There
were times when I went out to the street parks to witness Jesus to many
of these down and fallen out of society people, and after I condemned
the hell out of them, I would go home feeling depressed because I didn't
follow up my faith by my works. In other words, I had forgotten that
other part of the bible where it talks about "If you see me hungry,
thirsty, naked" do something about it. (legalistically speaking)
Friends, if Jesus said that He had come to save the ungodly and sinners,
then who was it that He was talking about? Was He not also including
these down and out young people that Christians and other religious
groups often condemn to hell? I just get tired of hearing the one line
two face religious phrase of "Jesus Loves The Sinner But Hates
The Sin." If there was ever a hypocrisy of all times, this would
have to be it.
The fact is Miss "Young Concerned," that Jesus died for the
sins of the sinners and in His eyes ALL have now become the righteousness
of God in Him because Jesus became sin so that ALL would become righteous.
I just don't know why Christians and other religious people continue
to see themselves as being righteous and others unrighteous when God
has declared ALL righteous, just as He had declared them ALL under the
law as being unrighteous. They just don't get it!
Again, I wish that when I invite Christians to checkout my website as
I been doing lately by announcing my website address in as many religious
chat groups that I can find on the Internet, that they would spend a
little more time reading what I write, instead of drawing an immediate
conclusion from my website's introduction alone. But 'Que Sera Sera."
We can lead a horse to water, but can't make him drink as the old saying
goes.
Grace N Peace
